00 xj 8.25/D30LP moving right along

It would be best if Aaron's business was never mentioned in relation to anything that 88Jeepturdchangemynamebutstillbuildbootyfabxj's has ever touched.

dude I wasn't referring to you, I dont think anybody sane would. this guy just doesn't get it.
a man just doesn't drag a reputable shop anywhere close to such dumbassery as this. I can roast a hotdog near my PC with all of this flaming.
why can't he just crawl under a rock and read anything Billavista has accumulated here.

well i hate to brake it to ya buddy but if you say such dumbassery as this...than you are pretty much saying that the guy who recommended and put together is a dumb ass as much as the one wanting it done...and i'm sorry since when is it dumbassery to put xj on 35s with 8.25 and D30 (maybe doubler or so)...thousands of people do it everyday everywhere and make it work no problem but the difference is we're not all out to prove our jeeps can keep up with tons and deuces in pissing contests. Now I'm "really" starting to understand this crowd on here more and more...if it's not built to yalls specs than it's either a death trap or dumbassery and i guess I'm ok with your thought process..i just think that it's a pretty crappy judgement to make in the off road sport from so called "good fellas to wheel and hang with" but whatever makes you guys feel inferior to us lower class builds so be it. I ain't got nothing to prove but build and enjoy my jeep the way i know i can: safely/proudly/able/and dependable for my needs and likes. If i cared about peoples opinions like these such comments..well dam i would've left this hobby long time ago but glad I'm not one of those types. so i guess you'll just have to deal with my dumbassery jeep or stay out of by build threads since it bothers you so much.

stay out of by build threads since it bothers you so much.
here's an idea for everybody...why do you guys even come to my posts since my builds bother you guys so much..seriously though, WHY? like I really am curious why such grown men have the desire to go to someone's thread over and over again if they are such a dumbass and safety hazzard...why not be at peace and just stay away. or am I missing something here?

Just pointing out the obvious: this is Axles/suspension/tires tech section. Scroll up from the main forums page and you'll see "Build threads", which is the appropriate section for this to be in if its as you call it, a build thread. Regardless, you come here to ask questions and we give you answers. If our advice bothers you, then why spend the few bucks and minutes of your time to become a supporter? As you mentioned previously, no, we are not as bad as naxja or pirate. Mostly because 99% of us here know each other and wheel/camp/fish whatever together on a regular basis. Having been around forums for many years and being members of different forums I will say that this community here is by far the nicest, most knowledgeable group of guys I have ever met. Ask around. You'll hear that a lot. At some point Mr fuller, you must come to the realization that its not NC4x4 that is full of dumbassery and asshaterisms, its you. If that's to hard to figure out, you are welcome to leave at anytime.

hey i support this group because i support any and all people part of this hobby!! and i have taken advise when i asked for it but when it came to mentioning me running a doubler with stock diffs and 35s...that's where the thread took a dump.
Mods: Point of inquiry...wasn't this mouth breather banned before under another
just like last time...so quick to ban people that are not in your little click as XJSavage just mentioned. I get it..you all are pals and buddies and I'm just a nobody but dirt underneath your tires...hey cool I'm not trying to win anyone over. sure I'd like to actually "meet" someone someday and talk face to face and see who they really are but my posts are just like the next fella over whose proud of their work and trying to enjoy this hobby as much as anyone else.

i guess you guys go and have a kegger when you get someone kicked off the forum...boy must make you feel real good fellas about it.
this community here is by far the nicest, most knowledgeable group of guys
yeah sure is a good way to prove this statement!! point made. do as you wish.

theres a song about folks like you. It goes,
"dont spit in the wind, dont pull the mask off the Lone Ranger and dont mess around with Slim"
you sir, have been been very kindly asked to stand down. I suggest you take heed.

Did I miss something? when was i asked to "stand down" and from what. oh I'm sorry my jeep offends you and my bumpers are not to your standards and my future plans for my build are unsatisfactory for some...sorry to burst your bubble but why don't you take heed to this: "stay out of my threads if you don't like what you see. it's my build, my posts, my "dumbassery" to you so why u can't resist but to come and hijack my threads, i can't figure out for the life of me!!

its not NC4x4 that is full of dumbassery and asshaterisms
wasn't this mouth breather banned befor
i never said NC4x4 was...certain people are not well mannered!
why somebody got to be a "mouth breather" just from posting what I've posted..how am I the crazy one here. I post my new Jeep with my mods and plans for it and read through the beginning and soon as i asked if someone knew who sells 231/231 doubler...the flaming starts. i was polite and asked 3 times if someone knew who sold it and what did people say and start....how stupid i am for wanting to run that setup. I'm just saying guys, i didn't start flaming nobody as i never have even years ago..i just respond to people's flaming remarks that were not asked for. I asked for "who sells the doubler kit" not what do you think of running doubler. I know better to ask "what yall think about running doubler in xj" so i wouldn't and didn't.

Why do you come back every time to defend yourself? There is no win for you. Either your ego is so big you cannot stand to have somebody disagree with you or you thrive on drama and need this in your life.

Maybe you should look within for answers..

for cheapo lift flexes pretty good and no tire rub...i need better tires, lol
deck hill flex.jpg

got it up to 60 on the highway first time and couldn't tell was on 5"lift with 35s if it wasn't for the tire roar otherwise probably most street friendly jeep I've done so far. NO didn't do the Glades as was frozen solid and figured not good idea to wheel through deep holes with 3"thick fronzen ice. Dam!! gotta wait til spring i guess.

got question for leaf spring mounts...i've heard for every 1" forward or backwards you move the mounts you only gain half lift of that...trying to get rid of the bastard pack in the rear and stay with the add-leaf kit so to get the 5" with just add a leaf thought i would move the front leaf spring perch rearward to give extra 2" so any input..never done it but seems simple enough. just trying to get the mathematics of it. thanks

If you move the front perch you need to move the rear perch, unless your changing your spring length.

it's lift where you only gain half when you adjust just 1 side.

you need to move the perches down to get lift, not back.

yeah lift is what i want roughly 2" so i need to drop the front or rear mounts (only one) down what..4" to get 2 or drop both 2"? would this mod make it ride better/flex better than the bastard pack i have now or not really worth the mod for just that..and in the future if i was going to stretch it 3" or so should i just wait and do this all at once? thank u

rims/tire: what's the lowest PSI you can safely run on these 17" JK rims with these 35s..i had them at 17 but would like to go down to 5 to 7...will this setup hold up for that safely. (I'm used to running wider tires on stock jeep rims which looks retarded but allows for low psi deflation without worry of breaking beads)

I would wait and do it once. If your keeping the AAL it probly won't ride much better. You can flip the springs front to back and get a good stretch.

well thank you. will just keep the setup for now.

any info/advise

No they won't hold safely at that PSI.
I personally wouldn't go lower than 20 out of safety on the street. If you wonder what the lowest trail pressure I'd run w/o beadlocks on your combo, I'd say 12 front and 10 rear.

sweet..i think 10 would serve me good enough for now until i get different rim setup. thank u sir

I would start at 12psi or higher. Not only should you worry about breaking a bead, with aluminum rims you should be worried about breaking the rim as well. From what I can gather about your wheeling style, there may not be much need to air down at all depending on your street pressure.

i will run 25psi to get to the trails...then since i like to crawl air down to usually 6-8 but stick to 11/12 like you guys say for this setup. yeah i'm not fond of the aluminum rims but got stupid deal on the rims and tires 200 for 4 JK rims and set of these 35s

I had 17" JK rims with 35's, and had no issues at about 1-2 psi. I even found that worked pretty good on the road. The low pressure really helped the tires grip in sharp corners at high speeds. But I had a spool in the rear, so that probably helped.
