2019 Jeep Gladiator

Stumbled across this...I think I'd rather drive it than the 4-door gladiator.

Pretty slick. I assume that's the back end of a Comanche. Would be curious to know how they tied it together, given the lack of frame and all.
 
I would assume they used the unibody of the xj, and somehow attached the frame section of the mj, although I have no idea how Chrysler did it to start with....
 
Why would they do that? Who would buy that?
I don't know, but I'm only aware of it because someone at my old job actually drove one. I was never able to figure out who it was though. First time I saw it I was like WTF, why would you put that on your Jeep. Next time I saw it, it was facing the other way and I saw the hardshell tire cover and realized this was not an aftermarket job. It was at that point I swore I would never own a JK of any type.
