What is you guys opinion on how close to mount these joints, Should I mount them as close as possible? You can see in the picture I have some room to work with.

The Heims in the truss (post before this one ) are just in there to gauge it, I have't drilled any holes yet.

Picked up a Locker and carrier for the 8.8 today, Set up to install the gears on Saturday. This is getting closer to ready, but you know how it is, you just keep realizing what else HAS to be done before its wheelable again. Gotta get it done soon or the wife will turn on me, for once she is more excited to get back on the trails than me.

What'd you set the pinion angle to? I like that truss, thought about running my uppers axleside like that.

I'm not an expert, but with your lowers being straight or close to straight, I would put the upper heims in the truss as close together as possible for the largest link angle.

Got a few more things completed today.

I was able to clear out all the excess parts from the rear, UCA, Trackbar, and LCA Mounts.

I went ahead and tacked the Truss and a coil mounts on and slid the 8.8 under the jeep to check for fit and alignment. (I know the pinon looks off, but the transfer case is not lifted up yet)

Now I could move on to the LCA frame brackets, I started with a simple "L" out of 1/4'' that measures 4'' tall, 4'' wide and 6'' long, LCA tabs are 3/8'' thick. Hiems are 1 1/4s.

UCA Frame Tabs welded on, There out of 3/8'' material as well. My uppers are going to be flat, so I mounted my tabs flat. Uppers are going to be 32'' long since there angled. The Axle mount is 28'' from the ground as well as the frame mount.

Slight issue to work through in this picture, anyone notice what is? Hint If hadn't caught it and burned bracket on to the frame it would have been a pain to deal with. I already have the solution worked out.

Still have to do the passenger side frame mount, finish the axle mount welding, and build the links, Paint every thing and then plumb the axle for brake lines. I picked up some spacers for the front to level it out due to the added height of the rear coil mounts, still have to see if the 3/4 is going to be enough. I guess will find out, but it will be a few weekends from now before I can get back at it. But I plan to get it done asap.

Rear axle is all welded, links are built, the rear is mounted up and looks sweet, now i just gotta pull it apart and paint and plumb the brakes. Pictures to come.

Thanks to Kyle, Greg, and Dano for the help yesterday.
