I guess since I drive a 1500 Silverado/79 f150/04 F350 superduty/?? disguised as a measily 95 YJ, I'm not allowed in Jeep clubs anymore. FML.

lonestar jeep club
north texas jeep club
east texas jeep club
clubs that claim to be open to other vehicles but still only cater too jeeps

there's more but just the top of my head. Don't get me wrong they're not bad clubs or ppl....but if you don't have a jeep meh

I assumed nothing. I didn't say or assume you didn't have none NC members....especially since I was proof opposite of that....I said the name implies others arn't welcome vs the OP who was very blunt about no jeeps....I concur with earlier sentiments he coulda done a better job with naming.

I understand the name Ron, but it does have a unfortunate catch 22 to it. I still love NC tho...the dragon is on my bucket list & ure & black mountain would both be nice bonuses b4 I die.

Might be a matter of perspective but I see lots of jeeps in sigs & avatars....maybe they're using pix & info at random maybe not.......frankly I don't care. The end point is it shouldn't be a big deal for someone to start a no jeep club....jeep clubs have been non-exclusive to everyone else forever, forcing the start up of more & more brand specific groups cuz ppl want to unite under some type of banner. I'd much rather have a metric shit ton of no jeep clubs then all the brand niche clubs.

Why in the fuck are you worried about what happens here in the carolinas if your in Texas? You could just be happy where you are. Maybe your one of those progressives that thinks that can save the world one bigot at a time?

News flash, this is a local site. 90% are locals that meet often on the trail. Nobody really gives two shits about what rig you run. Run, have a ton of fun and help a brother in need..

URE is fun for a stock vehicle and Black Mountain is ok on an ATV.

That's not the point.

There are a lot of straw men being thrown around in this thread about all the jeep clubs.
2 things:
1)
From my perspective the 4 largest and most active clubs in NC would be (in no order):
Carolina Trail Blazers
Rock Corps
Mud Devils
CNC 4x4

These 4 clubs have active semi regular rides and have been around for years and years.
Notice anything?

None of them have Jeep in their names.


2) Like it or not Jeep is a pretty generic name to most outside the hobby. When I ran an off-road endurance racing series I learned something. Say "offroad racing" in a radio ad and get a response rate. Say "Jeep racing" in a radio ad and your local market google searches would increase by a factor of 3.5x. In the last 5 years I have had a A full tube buggy with a Yota front end, a k5 that was more a pile of tube than a vehicle, an early bronco, and square body chevy trucks Want to know what all my neighbors ask about at every cook out? "What are you doing with this latest jeep"

So I did the right thing by putting jeep in the name of my group then, from a marketing stand point anyway, lol.
 
i want to go over to Wrangler forum and Jk Owners forum and Jeeper forum and link them to our page and have them all go all Pirate on you and ruin your day deleting a bunch of pisssed off teenager dribble on facespace....but Im not registering all those places just for the fun

How would it ruin my day? I can't tell if this is kidding around ball busting or if some of you have genuine disdain for a group that will allow anything 4x4 except jeeps. Either way its helping pass the time at work and giving me a hell of a laugh. I didnt create this in order stir crap, but it is entertaining none the less.
