That is complete BS. But it happened to a friend of mine. Took months to get it resolved. As much as I hate to say this, lawyer up now and let them sort it out. The insurance company will jerk you around as much as possible in order to not pay .
Technically if you had proper space cushion you would not have been pushed into the car in front of you. Oh I know that. What burns my ass up is when someone is behind you and then decide they want to pass you and then they jump in front of you and bow up. Or there is no one behind you for a couple hundred feet but they have to cut you off to get in front of you at the last minute.
I have a CC dually F350 and I pull an 18 foot enclosed trailer a lot.I know people cant see around me to know I'm in a line of traffic just like them so they'll run right up beside me n the slow lane like they're gonna pass just to see they cant get in.
We've been in Norfolk Va a bunch lately and if you give those folks an inch they'll cut your ass off.Int 64 to the tunnel is a white knuckle ride.Worst place for that I've ever been.
