This is one of the most exciting times. Like playing with hot wheels...it seemed to always be more fun building the "city" than it did to play with the cars in the city you built

Current outside shot this evening before pulling the dump trailer out.

Funny enough you used to never be able to pull a vehicle in here. Now 4 of the 5 bays you can pull into and at least park something. A bunch of stuff is getting pulled out soon and going into one of my 53’ dry vans.

I rent shop space. Can't beat the price honestly.
20x75.
Lift bay, 2 flat bays, 3 diff building stations, pisser, office and mezzanine for junk.
Deep enough to pull truck trailer inside before/after wheeling trips.
We're on the fence with possibly moving. So shop build will either start here or at next place

This is the current shop (48x32) that I share with my Dad and brother, although I use it the most and most of the stuff inside is mine. Started out as a tractor shed many years ago and then we had it closed in and made into a shop when Dad built the bigger shelter for equipment/camper.

It's kinda a mess right now, stuff stacked everywhere, buggy half torn apart, etc.

One day this metal is going to just rust away at the bottom. When that happens I'm gonna put up a pole barn. Probably have 4-5 garage doors. That's the one thing that I hate about this building is moving stuff to get one thing in or out.

These threads always motivate me a little. I built a shelf, threw some stuff out and cleaned up a little yesterday morning, LOL.

Same here. I started putting up hangers for stuff that cluttered she shelf

You could paint the walls white to make it brighter. It looks like you have reasonable lighting.

Ooooh I like this idea. my stupid jackstands are always in the way.

Here’s my completely unorganized disaster area. We bought this house in the fall of ‘21 and all the shop stuff was just thrown in to be dealt with later. I’m still slowly working on storing/de-cluttering/organizing stuff. It’s a 30’x42’x14’ with 10’x12’ doors. The 11k lift was already installed. I’d like to add on to it one day, but it won’t be anytime soon.

When we bought it the whole shop had only one duplex receptacle directly below the panel, and one row of half working 8’ fluorescent lights. I took down the lights and put up the 8’ Amazon LED strips. 3 rows on the ceiling and a row down each side wall about 2’ down from the top. Me and my father are both electricians, he’s retired, so he came up and ran most of the conduit and wire while I was working. We added 2 receptacles on every upright, a compressor circuit, and 3 50a welding circuits.
