Well "jph0913" and myself have started another build up..

This time we are building a '81 Toyota Deluxe Pickup Truck :)

So Last weekend we drove 405 miles and picked up this Gem of a Toy..
John Cut off the bed and you will see why in the pics..
and today we cut stripped and washed the frame and then cut if off and replaced it with a new frame :)

The Plan.. is to run full width 9/44 combo and 4 link the rear and 3 link the front.. but this will take some time so stay tuned..

If the frame ws so rusted, not swap the whole thing ? Otherwise looks like a good start..

The front half of frame was in very good shape.. I guess it was protected by all the oil, power steering fluid, etc :)

I want one of those cool things that shoots alotta sparks..save me a hell of a lot of time instead of using a cut off wheel for everything

Edit: I know its a plasma, in case no one got my sarcasim

Yes.. and we have a surprise in store with these 9"... I can not say yet :)

Hey guys kool toy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am wondering why you don't tube the rear instead??? It will save you a lot of weight and look a lot crazier:D Well I am ineterested to see what it looks liek when its done. Dual cases marlin crawler 5:29 gears and 38 and an exo cage???? I think i know what you2 are going to do with those 9 inches. well keep the pics coming.

Reason we added new frame was becasue old frame was rusted from almost front of cab back. For us to build just tube rear would have been a bunch more work of cutting, platting, and tubing just for frame strenght before we even started the rear tube..so it was easier to just weld this frame on and now we can decide where we want to cut to tube out the rear..

But we have a few ideas that we want to do so time will tell how much we cut of frame from here... :)
