[April 15-17] Rock Corp 4x4's first 2016 Open Ride at The SHOP

for those so bored and need some entertainment, heres my breakage on your ""pebbles""....I'm still learning little by little how to drive on rocks like this as I'm used to muddy/dirt trails but I'm learning. I'm VERY happy with the D44 axles as most of yall can see many times on them boulders I would've Easily broke many D30shafts...sorry video is long but if your bored, have at it...the sound of the driveshaft snapping is worth it lol....I hate to see what yall consider boulders if these are pebbles!!!

also wanted to say it was a pleasure meeting some of you guys from here who are either Rock Corps Members or just forum guys. Me and the wife thought you guys were very nice and polite and very very positive friendly atmosphere and quick to help others when they needed it. Forgive me if I don't remember everyone's names in future meetings as I am terrible with names. Thank you for your hospitality!! Have a Great work week everyone!!

Had great time. Can't wait for next ride.

A great time with some awesome folks this weekend!
On Sunday, we picked up two pieces of trash! I picked one up on Saturday! Thanks to you all for helping us to keep the park clean.
Carnage:
Destroyed ORI, replaced with air shock, back on trail
Broke yoke on a 231=Done
Busted welded spider gears, fixed in parking area after Steven from ECGS brought it up Saturday Morning
Broke 14 bolt shaft, replaced, wheeled again
Broke YJ shackle, welded, back on trail
broke 14 Bolt shaft #2, replaced and wheeled again
Busted Detroit in 14 bolt, done
Several broke u-joints and drive shafts
Body/cage damage yeah, there was some!
One Razor was towed back to camp
Steering assist broke on a TJ

I am sure there was more, but that is what I saw myself.

Looks like you all had perfect weather and perfect conditions for an open ride. I'm bummed I couldn't make. I couldn't make the previous one either. Hopefully I will be able to make it to the next one.

It was PERFECT weather! got chilly at night, but as soon as the sun come over the mountain, you couldn't ask for better!

Made that list a couple times lol

What a great weekend at The SHOP! conditions couldn't have been better! Steady line of rigs, from Cherokees to Buggys, were able to climb Carnage! (a trail that did earn its name this weekend!)

There was eveything there, from an un-restored, all original 70 Jeep Commander on stock tires to a Rock Bouncer rig on the trails!

Thanks to all that came out. Hope everyone had as great a weekend, as I did! (Even with all my electrical gremlins!)

me and couple guys coming out of Rocky Slop...wife was darn tired by the time she got there, poor baby.

Was hoping to see you come out the right exit at the end...

That right side was no joke. You were fine if you cut right hard right after the rock and didn't slide at all. If you did the rear end ended up in a huge hole took a little bit of work to get a guy outta it
LOL that's why I didn't..I was trying to keep it easy and slowly learn what the D44s can handle and such...maybe next time if I can get a little more flex out of the rig which I'm working on!!
That trial is awesome though and I'm sure eventually I will hit it so many times I might get the guts to try the red exit

Ok, who were the guys I met above the landslide who wanted to hit something hard and then proceeded to remove part of a three link after I took them to a creek bed? I had to get my chainsaw, then wrenches and so forth? Duder with broken rig dude had a slick cab forward buggy .

Bueller..... anyone....

Did you get over to A Pillar? That would be one that you would like.
