dude i havent laughed this hard in awhile...thank u. the sad part is if i could get me a couple more i would actually do another body armor cage with it...doesn't bother me at all. i loved it and very surprisingly held up pretty good for just beating it up against trees and stuff.

For body armor, have you put thought into steel plate style? Think of TJ body armor for example. Its effective and doesn't effect your width or cause you to get hung up. I'm sure you can access to a sheet metal brake or someway to put creases in, say 3/16" plate, then bolt it to the XJ. Just a thought. And its way cheaper and looks killer if done right!

funny u mention because i was looking at this last night...awesome stuff ORB Fab sells for these but too much so yeah i guess i could make some. i'm def gonna start looking around for some steel plates...would 1/8" work or not worth all that work for that thicknesss

Well considering 1/8" is about twice the thickness of the sheet metal body parts then yeah it'll offer great protection.

look guys, heres the deal, and why I got a little ruffled over Hcore being dragged into this. this guy has probably bought tires and parts etc from HCore4x4, but I guarantee Aaron didnt build anything like you've seen in these posts- he turns out stout and very creative stuff. I can only imagine that Aaron was very knowledgable about this guys wheeling style if he sold a 231/231 doubler etc. in the end mall crawlers need parts too and hey, business is business. would he install a D35 in a dedicated trail rig?, nope as thats just hella dumb. would he sell a replacement D35 axle shaft for your moms grocery getter XJ that broke going over a speed bump?, maybe, but he'd try to sell you on an upgrade to a 8.25 first.

uhh dude cool your panties bro...when the hell did anybody say he built anything for me or like my stuff? ...i only mentioned he's done my doubler and been a good friend since i've known him. yeah i know the bad ass stuff he builds and would never doubt anything that comes out of his shop!! what's your point? i guess you're trying to defend him...and that's cool but dude pay attention to what's been said first cause ain't nobody here dogging him or his work.

exactly my point...if you would read through the post you would have seen where i had already made this statement so no need to come on here and get ruffled up insinuating that I brought him into anything other than a lot of respect and appreciation for the guy. please read entire posts before making hasteful remarks. thank you

Mr. Chuckman...if i came off rude, sorry sincerely but I wouldn't dare ever give a bad name to H*******4x4 so i guess i got ruffled when i saw the post. i only have mentioned his name because in the discussions and others always degrading someone wanting to run say 35s or doublers or whatever, i have had no choice to mention his name as the one who actually recommended the doubler for me instead of 5:13 gears or such because he is aware of my wheeling style and at least in front of me as a business relation and friend seems to just appreciate/be cool with whatever setup i have desired to run. 95% of people here are quick to jump down XJ owner throat if they mention anything over 33s, stock diffs, doublers, and such but i've met very few(Aaron being one) who just let people build what they want and enjoy it and give them the advise according to what they are desiring to accomplish in the end result. i see you know Aaron pretty well and that is why i wrote this explanation so you and me don't get off on wrong foot.

I have never before heard of h.......4 but from now on I will always think of you when I hear that name. I'm still waiting to hear why a doubler is better than 5.13 gears or such for someone who just wants to cruise around on 35s.

dude i would highly re-consider this...you would be starting some crap about a highly reputable mechanic/builder if you go around putting his name/business along with any name and work other than his. seriously? grow up ass hole. have nothing else to say to you or answear any of your stupid remarks when you or anyone wants to mock people and act such foolishness...

and to clarify some stuff before i head to work...if you were joking in your remark Mr.RHSCTJ...again GROW UP. I don't think there's any joke in playing around with someone's reputation..especially when you mention you don't know of them. You want to bash on my name..fine suit yourself if it makes your head bigger...but keep others out of it if you don't know them. Good day to you and everyone else!!

What do you think is going to happen when someone searches for his name on the forum or google? Considering all the posts in this thread containing His name, the search results are going to send others to this thread. Imagine a potential customer of his skimming over the posts in this thread, viewing the pictures, all in a hurry, while not reading the entire thread, has the potential to appear like he contributed.

That's how I would look at the situation if someone name dropped me as a shot at credibility, and I were in a related business, all without my consent.

It was you that brought his name up in this thread. If you don't want the liability of possible confusion then, I would suggest altering the spelling of his name so that other can understand what you were trying to say, without potentially hurting his business reputation.

fine...point taken from your point of view. going right now to try and edit all the post but still makes me mad for someone to joke around the way higalow did..
