Callalente July 4th weekend...

Well I drove 2.5 hrs to wheel for 45 minutes. I broke the left rear axle up in the small rock garden just down the hill slightly from the Tower area. I think these 34's are too big for Samurai axles. I should have just stepped up to Yota axles, or stayed with a 32" tire. The third member seems to have sort of come apart. I can't get the damn thing out.

Your welcome, and that suck about your tire. That gash looks pretty big. I've heard some guy in TN can vulcanize tires, but I think it is expensive. There was a thread about it on pirate4x4. I've already pm'd Noah about getting him that tire. Going to hopefully get up with him soon. I'll give you a shout if I decide to sell these tires. I'm probably going to stick with them though for now.

Later,
Danny

I had a great time this weekend tagging along with the BDB. At first, I was unsure how that was going to work out as their reputation leans toward the extreme, but strange as it may sound we actually rode moderate trails most of the day. I doubt they did that just for me, but if so I thank you.

I did not ride today (Sunday), but opted to come on home. Presently, I have the truck, trailer, and Ole Granny all put away, and now have a steak on the grill.

I met some new faces this weekend, renewed some old acquaintances, and in general hung out with a top notch group of people. For me, it was a perfect 4th of July! :huggy:

I rode all day with mcutler, we rode pretty much everything. Ran armour all twice, the last go around we came out the first exit to the right at the bottom of pull cable and matt (blue and grey yj on 42s) cut a heater hose when his belt slung off. I dented the rear dshaft on that time through armour all as well. Spent a lil while looking for helicopter pad and aorc rocks with no luck. Matt was runnin low on fuel so we loaded up and headed out. Was a great time. Don it was good to meet ya!

Ben, the entertainment (as John B. would say) was "priceless". I had a great time, and hope to sit around the "campfire" with you folks again.

Thanks for the thought... Darlene is feeling much better. She thinks she had a virus. I wonder if maybe she just needed a weekend without me! :driver:
