Will Carter's new ride from Right Side Performance...

Ah you're kidding, I have all of that stuff at the shop. Sorry I didnt get to the phone in time. Next time PM me on here or just blow the phone up

All problems aside, racing Crandon is about as much fun as you can have on wheels. Even just putting around with no brakes is fun.

Here's a video of my finer moments that Kevin Yoder happen to captured. That's me hitting him at first after I lost my brakes and then I do a back hand spring.

Here's an update I guess...

After a the run in with the tree and the barrel roll cartwheel acrobatics at Crandon I had to do a little massaging to get the front end back aligned.

It really wasn't out too awfully far but I didn't want it to get any worse. After I got it back straight I added two bars to the front to keep it from happening again. I was going to put them in initially but I figured it'd be strong enough the way it was....I was wrong...

Also bent a hi steer arm when I crashed into Yoder at Crandon. Made a little enforcement plate to keep that from happening again. Also got some shiny new 7075 tie rods from Right Side Performance. They're polished but I got my grungy fingerprints all over them.

Got tired of burning up 9" gears on the coast side in the rear so I set me up a TrueHi9 and flipped it in the rear. What a waste right? But now I have a drive side gear with a load bolt. Should be pretty stout.

Right Side Performance took care of the ARB for the Hi9 real quick.

Lee at TLC Transmissions in Raleigh, NC freshened up my 4L80's for me. Thanks man.

My old Griffin radiator is still going strong after 2 hard seasons of racing but after the fire the fans had some plastic singed on them. They still worked fine but it was time to demote it to a spare. Griffin fixed me up a custom new size that should cool anything I throw at it.

With the new cooling capacity I'm ditching the trans fan and making a custom shaped oil to water heat exchanger. I'll have one for trans fluid and engine oil cooling.

Made me a little plug for the water pump. Gonna try ditching the thermostat since others have had such good success with it.

And here's the reason for all the trans, cooling and diff upgrades...

Just finished my long block tonight....

I'll make two tunes for race gas and pump gas.

Should be a fun little motor. More than I've ever had at least.

Why hail yea, sounds like you're building a tennessee hill killer. When you say oil to water, are you using the engine radiator to cool the trans/oil or another radiator for that? Do you have a trans temp gauge?

Yeah, the new radiator will cool the engine coolant. The coolant running past the plates there will cool both the trans and engine oil. Supposed to be more efficient heat transfer. I've done a lot of research for a bit and decided to finally pull the trigger and try it. Hope it works out.

I do have a temp gauge. The last cooler was working fine but that was 4 fans running at once where now it'll just be the two on the radiator. And I get to add engine oil cooling.

I'm glad as hell to see two transmissions sitting there. I dunno if you kept two beforehand, but it tears me up to see guys roll in on Friday night, toast the trans while prerunning, and have to call it. I honestly think it happens to at least one car at every race.

Swapping a trans at a race is a pain in the ass, but at least it might salvage the weekend if you can get running again.

So what prompted the new engine build? The 415?
I hope your brakes are good!

Im really interested to see how the water/oil cooler deal works out. What are you guessing the temp difference is between the two fluids?
