What have you done for your health today?

Officially broke the 300lb mark and was 298.7lbs this morning. First time I’ve been under 300 since 2005. And for other ‘milestones’ of sorts…my all time peak was 386lbs about 12ish months ago, got down to the 350’s and held there. Started down this path about 12 weeks ago at 352lbs.
Congrats!

Down 9.3LB's so far.

Getting in the grove now of two small meals a day of meat and beans. And the occasional banana to keep from killing anyone. (I COULD eat more, I just don't like veggies.)
Down 12.2lbs now. Going for 15 by the end of this week.

Starting to feel a bit better. Not as tired and lethargic.

I'm gonna feel like a stud horse when I hit 230 again.

Wife had better look out!

Butter Gap and Cat Gap in Pisgah today
Good stuff!

Weighed in at 295 this morning. This pic of me was taken yesterday…first time since probably college I saw myself in a pic and didn’t absolutely fawkin cringe. Still a big dude…with a ways to go…but was happy to see a 3xl shirt wasn’t skin tight and minimal rolls on the back side of my neck/head.

For comparison…this was taken almost exactly a year ago. I’m the least ugly one on the right…and I was feeling pretty good about myself here because I had dropped 20-30lbs from my peak.

Spent 4 days in NY, came back the same weight I left. I call that a win! Those 18k step days offset the pizza and bagels 😂

Anyways, back to lifting today. I’m over halfway through my cut and down about 11 lbs. Shootin’ to drop about 4 more, then I’ll start ramping my calories back up. I’m currently eating 1800-1900 per day and will ramp up to 2800-2900 in May.

Wife and I are back in. With the twins, our schedule was chaotic. We have now gotten into a routine of working out every day during the week. MWF, we lift heavy, followed by a run/walk with a weight vest. T/TH we do cardio. Also have been dialing our nutrition in. I'm down about 10lbs in 3.5 weeks and the wife has lost some too.

Plantar fasciitis has been bothering me recently, plus I’ve apparently strained a muscle in my shoulder. So I’ve modified my workouts quite a bit the past two weeks.
But I have the lead for the workout Saturday and we got a new toy.View attachment 416005
I don’t think your shoulder shares your excitement for your new toy. 🤣. Have fun, don’t put yourself in the hurt locker!

I’m stupid and sometimes working out is like a drug and I need the high.
Plantar fasciitis, arthritis in my knee, I show up to ruck this morning and nobody is going to ruck, everyone was going to run. So what do I do? I f’n run with them. 4.2 miles. This was my first run since 4/13/2023! I’m going to make it a yearly thing.
