OPEN RIDE @ "THE FLATS" JAN.14TH

I had a great time again as usual.

Thanks to the RockCorp4x4 club for having this open ride.

On the way home on I-40 E, a State Trooper pulled out of a closed weight station and got right up beside my trailer. He rode there for a couple miles before going on and getting off at the next exit. I am guessing that he was running my tag number to see if I am 'weighted' enough. I guess he didn't care that the tag expired Dec 31st, lol.

Thanks for a great time. I have not been there in over a year or better but I love the trails! Keep up the good work and I will definitely b there the ne,t time.

Putting YJ back on tires. If anyone knows who this is, I'd love to make sure the passenger was OK. I know she hit her head in the dirt pretty good.

We talked to them a little while afterwards, they were ok but she said she wasn't getting back in the jeep!

I bent a wheel at some point then finished off the frame on laurel lane at the steering box! Time to do some plate work.

She rode the jeep all day without a problem. I think it was just a little soreness. No external bleeding and she was laughing about it a few minutes later.

I talked to her while they were getting the Jeep upright, got some dirt out of her hair and gave her an Advil. I was just worried she would start having some neck pain a little later.

had a blast and learned a few things. this was my first of many wheeling trips. my jk sure did surprise me.

me in the play ground, the only pickture we got outside of my jeep.

Thanks to all the Rockcorps guys for a great event. I hope you raised a bunch of money. It looked like a good turnout.

It was cool to meet a bunch of folks from NC4x4.

We saw several rigs on their lids. Sounds like everyone made it throught he day unscathed. That's good news.

A special thanks to levellinebrad for taking me on a private tour of the park. And for spotting for me on the parking lot obstacle and Laurel Lane.

here's Brad showing his best side:
