attempt # 17... thats a load of :poop: more like #1001...i usually tell you good job, and it gets parted out but this time i will tell you it looks like :poop: and maybe you will finish it...probably not. someone must be doing alright to have an LS1 and a stak...thats a big change from the 22re and toy cases you usually part out around...i mean build around.

what crazy ideas are you working on now, or did you just want to build a drag car 9"?

You cold Sam, haha sorry had to...

A little 'bling'...Heat treated 4340 .188 wall chromoly for some lower links...not as shiny as aluminum...but it's going to be a sleeper anyway...

Neato cool 'muffler'...fit's inside a 3" piece of exhaust pipe...should make the open headers...tolerable?...

Here's a few more specs:

-IFS, solid rear
-4 Bobby Long dana 60 CV's up front hooked to the narrowed 9" with some 4.88's
-A-armed
-Should be able to get about 38 degrees of steering with about 17" of wheel travel (split 50/50 bump, droop at the moment)
-0 degrees camber full droop (to get the most out of steering)
--7 degrees camber full bump
-I'm not gonna list anymore IFS specs as it could fill up a page...if you have any specific questions about it just ask.
- I'll try and get some solidworks sketches in here that'll illustrate it well...

-STaK is 3.2:1 and 5.4:1
-Powerglide is getting Hughes 1.76 shorty planets,TH input shaft, manual valve body, and a transbrake:flipoff2: (to simulate a good ol' clutch drop that I'm fond of), Art-Carr 2500-3000 converter
-LS1 remains stock for now with the harness reworked by Jim's Performance.
-PSC's rock racing full hydro setup...cept the pump for now...it'll be stock...

-105"ish wheel base
-front 70" wms to wms (yeah it's wide...real wide...gotta do it to get the travel and steering though)
-rear will be around 65"wms
-REALLY backspaced wheels to help make up for the width(H2's for now)
-Fox airshocks all around

-and some more stuff

I'm waiting on a box from Ballistic Fabrication that contains alot of crucial parts so I've really just been piddling around with the A-arm design on the Solidworks and doing some smaller stuff...

Got my battery...Odessey P925 with the metal jacket...

Narrowed one side of the rear axle...I need a piece of 3" x 3/16" or 1/4" round for the other side...anybody have a piece at least 32" long laying around?

Looking pretty good Will! So far you have impressed me. :flipoff2:

Is that just a stak 2 speed? It also looks like the rear output could be centered or off to either side, am I seeing that correctly?

It does look like you could do that with some gear modification but I think those are just bearing retainer caps...i haven't reall messed with it yet...3 speed...low, med, high...

Some drawrings...

That's the final...they don't look like much...but tell me everything I need to know...(and for the ones who know enough to be critical at this point, yes I know it's right at 0camber, it's adjustable:flipoff2:)

In a truely rigid setup this would yield 0.0" shaft plunge (which is priority #1...well #2...#1 would be to build it so it wont break)... so...all I really have to plan for is bushing flex and arm flex...I think it'll be just fine...

Had a certain vendor not told me their bushings would misalign to "at least 25degrees" and been completely full of bull's shit I would be showing you pictures of A-arms tomorrow...but now I'm on the suspension joint hunt again...

Another drawring...This is the little sketch used to figure out available steer angle at a specific shaft angle...
