Turnout was awesome! Food was great. Raffle and auction brought in a bunch of bucks for the cause, and the speakers were spot on as to what needs to be done and who needs to do them.
Jason, Josh, and all of true Patriots, did an awesome Job as did the High school ROTC young men and women. Thanks to all who helped to put this on!

This was a great event! Thanks to everyone who planned, participated and volunteered to make it a success.

My wife and I had a long discussion on the ride home about how much is done for people that don't want to work in the form of EBT, WIC, tax refunds (for not paying taxes ) and the other tons of entitlement programs. These "people" take, take, take and then complain about the country. Yet every community has Vets that have fought and made incredible sacrifices that are pushed aside. Very deserving of help, but quietly suffering. This needs to change.

One of the campaign promises of the current administration was to care better for the Veterans. Hopefully this will be fulfilled...

Thank you @Deplorable for what you said just before I left. "He may not remember it, but YOU will"
I've been thinking about that since we left. You're right. So right.

@shawn and @trailhugger sorry I couldn't explain. Pops is 78 and had been riding at big creek since 9:30 and his wife had back surgery last week. He was tired and wanted to see her at Forsyth or I would have stayed and had a rap off with @Paul

Thank you @Jason W. And @josh$$ it was AMAZING!
Jason and @Debra Thank you for coming to see me off and understanding. You both mean the world to me

Thanks so much @jeepin' jen and @Mulishajoe y'all made the day SO fun!! We've really gotta get together more often! And @J.C. for the wisdom and guidance (and load of patience) it was an honor to be on the trail with you.

For those that weren't aware I brought my 78 yr old Godfather...who is not my blood, but better than I ever deserved. Anyway, he's been suffering from dimensia now for about 5 years and yesterday was really tough for me. About everyv20 minutes we had the exact same conversation. Honestly he had no idea how long we were out there but he showed signs of fatigue so I knew it was time to go.
Took him to my house and I showered then took him to forsyth to sit with his wife, then dinner and on to clemmons to his daughters.

I've seen it both ways now....and I'm not sure what's worse on the survivors: seeing someone physically waste away or mentally reset every 20 minutes. Sorry for pissing and moaning...just love the man more than life and it's tuff to see a navy man that could reset time in my eyes, not capable of driving any more because he can't remember how to get to the home he's lived in for 50 years from the corner gas station.

I appreciate all you guys (and ladies)

Thanks so much

We do not have a final count yet, but we raised over $8,000!!

F'ing amazing. I hate that I missed this but things just did not line up for me. I was hoping to ride out Saturday afternoon but it didn't happen. This will be the only one I miss I swear unless I'm six foot under.

@ABadJeeper you were definitely missed this weekend.

Thank you to all who were able to come out and make this year's ride a success. It never ceases to amaze me how willing everyone in our offroad family is so kind and generous when it comes to supporting such a great cause. I hold you all close to my heart and can't thank my brothers and sisters in arms (and their families) for the sacrifices we all have made. Knowing we have support all around us is such a blessing.

Everything about this event was great. What an awesome turnout. Got pretty cold but there were plenty of good camp fires surrounded by even better people, so staying warm was not a problem. (Except at the huge raffle...bout froze during that.)

It was good to see everyone having a good time for a great cause. Thanks @Mulishajoe and @jeepin' jen for power to my electric blanket all weekend. Thanks @Paul for all the food man.

@josh$$ @Jason W. You guys should be proud of what you have created. :usa:

Had a great time at the Event this year, as always! Good to see some old friends, meet some new.

Sorry I missed the closing ceremony. I was sitting on Daniel waiting for a Propane tank! (Having a back-up tank doesn't help when ya don't check to see if its full!)

Had a great time meeting a bunch of you. Glad Mike Heath brought me into True Patriot and Patriot Therapy to be a part of this. I got the Tj cleaned up today to find out it was more costly then I knew but well worth it. Remember, any time anyone needs Rubicon TJ parts to message me. Looking forward to wheeling with CTB again soon.

Once again I was planning on trying to be there but then had a buddy needing my help to finish a project........try for next year. looks like you guys had a great time!

Just for reference for next year, what was everyone's favorite part of the ride and what could we improve on, what would you like to see next year?

This was my first year attending the Veterans Ride and I’m glad that I was able to make it. The wife and myself thoroughly enjoyed everything about the event. The ceremony and the guest speakers were spot on and put the cause back into focus for myself and hopefully others. Great to meet some new friends and hang with some old ones and get some dirt on the tires. Can’t wait till the next one.

We had a wonderful time this past weekend. Many thanks to Jason & Josh, and all who were involved, for putting this event together again. You are appreciated more than you will ever know. It's been 50 years since I got out of the Navy and the attitude toward Vets is a bit different these days. I am thankful for that. Jason, I tend to get embarrassed when I cry in public, but I sincerely thank you for making me do it. I love ya brother.

Looking forward to next year! :driver:
