Heim joint steering info

With all due respect, I could have used 1/2"wall square stock and mandrel bent it and you would still tell me same thing..why? Ca

"With all due respect, I'm going to make some bullshit straw man argument that completely misrepresents everything that everyone else has told me so far in this thread. Then I'm going to ask some more questions, I'm going to thank people for their advice, and then I'm going to go out and do the exact opposite of what was suggested."

We all know pipe/tubing/square stock differences debate on roll cages and other fabrication needs is the biggest ongoing debate and even engineers can't agree amongst each other, again just sayin true facts though.

That is not even remotely fucking true.

Maybe so but square on the round insert allowed same 360 weld surface plus 4 corner holes that went under insert a bit plus plenty of thickness to do a second pass all around..remember I used to weld everything single pass and never had failure (prob cause I overkill on the welding lol) so now that I make double passes on major places I'm more than ever confident about it..lets not turn this into "about welding" please..just want to focus on the drag link

If you were hell-bent on being the pioneer of square tube steering, then why didn't you buy square tube bungs?

Wow, yall get ur panties untied already and quit having a cow..geez omg like a bunch a little girls..my 1concern was answered on pg1, it was simple, gonna get fixed...what the hell are y'all still yappin about

That is not even remotely fucking true.
And fyi, its 100%truth. Every engineer thinks they know it all...every welder/fabricator/builder thinks their way and opinion is the way or best way and I have been finding that on the web searching in every forum so please spare me this and that..everybody has their ways and opinions and hardly anyone agrees on certain topics.
What an idiot you and how you really don't know or understand near as much as you think you do

Yeah well this "idiot" manages to build and keep up with yours and everyone else's rigs so the way I see it like usual...u just mad cause different & cheaper works just as good as proper..haters gonna hate

There are books that say exactly what the strength of any particular steel section are. It's known, it's tested in a lab, it's non negotiable.

It's not a matter of opinion.

So why did you buy the wrong bungs?

The worst part about John Fuller bullshit is the possibility that some other poor soul will see this and think it's acceptable because they read it on the intarwebs
Nah that other poor guy will love this kinda crap..real down to earth people get inspired by ideas and making stuff work with what u got...the rich proper builder inspires the like minded...the poor builder inspires his like minded ., both have same/similar end result

This my new slogan...I'm gonna copyright this!!!

No need to be misogynistic, especially when there are women in the thread calling you out.
Sorry didn't realize women were on the scene..

Does this make sense in your head? Does it seem logical and internally consistent?

In context to my threads yes..in yours and others in sure not. I've been approached by countless people, whether u believe it, over years that talk about this crap...most agree forums are filled with the "one way or no way attitude" and people can't stand it...they just don't speak out

Bullshit. If you wanted cheap steering, you could have bought stock ball joints. If you wanted spherical rod ends, you could have done it the right way. Instead, you bought the wrong shit, and now you insist that its because you're cheap.

That doesn't make any sense. It's not internally consistent. It's not logical.

Ok good point but follow the thread from beginning..
I was there buying the DOM..2 65"pieces for $122. Of .250wall
Then he asks some questions while pulling it..next thing u know, I tell him the rig and purpose and how "boy this stuff is pricey" and he starts showing me options. 30min discussion later, he convinced be of buying the square stock 110" of it for $60buck...VOILA

So to end this, I had DOM in my possession for split second, but we aren't meant for each other...bahahaha so needless to say money again won, being frugal is my thing but I did not give up strength though
