Maybe this is a little far fetched, maybe somebody has done it. Either way, here goes. Ive got a 1990 XJ. Its pretty low miles and paid for, but I really like the way the dash sticks out farther in the 97+ XJ's. Since Im only 5'3", my arms are pretty short, so it is pretty annoying and distracting to have to lean up out of the seat to reach the radio and HVAC controls. I have been considering a newer XJ to get better FI and ABS systems, and the dash that sticks farther out. However, this is going to put me out more cash than it would to just convert the dash, and eventually I will put a stroker in it, so the motor doesn't matter.
In summation, is it possible to put the newer style dash in an older cherokee?
