transmission trouble?

Truck: 1998 Chevy Silverado Z71 5.7L Auto

Problem: Tach and Speedo quit working and the indicator light for what gear the truck is in. Trans doesn't shift.

Truck runs and drives. Got me home from work. Had to shift gears manually to help it out.
What do you think

Check a fuse labled "PRNDL" and see if it is blown. Check for power going to the fuse. If it doesnt have and power on either side check the White wire coming from the ignition switch or jiggle the ignition and see if the does it.
