J2 Fab & Automotive has started another build. This time its a Toyota truck, with a full tube bed. Customer has given us lots of freedom on design.(thanks for the oppurtunity) So after a few looks (more like stoping every other minute and looking) we came up with something along these lines. This is our first tube bed project, but hopefully after this, many more to come...

Here are some pics for you picture lovers, and this is a nice truck as well.

tubing

seems like tubing is a rare commodity this week. Hopefully our order will come in tommorow to finish the rest of it in raw form, then the paint. Maybe doing a lift and 33's and gears as well.... This thing is going to look nice I do believe.

Why so low sides on the bed? They gonna bolt in toolboxes, etc?

this truck is more of a street piece than a full off roader, so the fender line is about even with the front, just a little lower. again 32's or 33's, if fender was higher it would look a little odd

got little more done today. not much. should have main hoop bars coming down to bed, and x brace done tommorow. then finish putting stamped diamond plate down on fenders and bed. Its coming together nicely. Will post more pics tommorow.

hugging that cab line was fun with the main hoop. But it did turn out well. About 1/2 gap between cab and main hoop. Ready to work on the x braces and down bars tommorow and hopefully finish the rear.

tail lights are going in that corner piece there.

little more done

Getting closer on this beast. It's been a fun and rewarding project. Cant wait to have her done next week. Saturday, all the metal work should be done. Then time for paint. All tube will be Hammered gray/silver. With diamond plate being black. Truck is more than likely going to be gunmetal gray. Hope you guys like it.

Bumper ideas. Black in middle, hammered gray on tube and expanded metal to match rest of truck.

had to get some rest last night after working on it, will post more pics this evening. Hope to have all metal work done today, then to painting and lift.
