tires and towing

Why a 37" mud terrain tire for towing?

Use the tow rig for towing and the thing being towed for off road.

35'' not 37''s . some folks use things for more than one purpose and want a certain look for their truck. some of the places i wheel require a 4x4 tow truck to get there some times.

I had some bfg m/ts on my f250 tow rig (315/75-16, same as a 35X12.50-16) they were load range D but rated at like 3200 lbs each so i wasnt overloading them even pulling my 78 f150 on 42s behind. They worked good and had decent tread life.

I just replaced them after about 50,000 miles for some bfg a/ts with the same rating. I understand the dual use thing. Thats why I had the m/ts on mine, but now I dont need them anymore.

I have Mastercraft Courser A/Ts in 315/70R17. They're all right, probably a bit louder than BFG ATs on the highway, but they're fine in the rain, fine in sand, ride fine loaded and not.
