What will it take to marry a rubicon t case to my ax15 in my 97 2.5 tj?

21 spline and 23 spline...can these be swapped?

Grab a 21 spline input (if available) from Advance Adapters, Novak, etc

231 and 241 cases use totally different planetaries and input shafts

For starters, you don't have an AX15, you have an AX5. And it doesn't share much in common with the AX15, so you can't swap bell housings or output shafts or anything like that.

X2 what Shawn and Jody said. I just put a 241or in my 99 TJ with an AX15 and did lots of reading and phone calls. Novak and Advanced Adapters webistes and phone calls were very helpfully. The 241or only came with a 23 spline short input. Not sure that anyone makes a 21 spline input to swap in.

Get a bell housing from a Dodge Dakota that has a 2.5l to an ax15
You will be much happier down the road......
