i think i have a good line on some 33x12.50's for cheap, but i dont know yet. they're about an hour away and i dont have much time after work this week. we'll see

I didn't happen to notice (I skimmed through some of this), but any chance you still have the TTB Dana 35 that you might want to get rid of cheap? I would love to get rid of my Dana 28. I'm getting ready to have to replace my bearings and get a front end alignment and would be nice if I could just swap it out before I get the front end done.

hard to say. you could probably find one from $50-$150, kinda depends on gears. i paid about $50 for a D35 with 327s, then bought a separate pig with 373s for $100. check out therangerstation.com, there's always somebody selling one it seems like. you might also see if anyone on here knows where one is.

finally in town for a weekend to actually get some shit done on this thing. i'm still on the lookout for some used 32's or 33's

i did manage to get my upper shock mounts built today. started with left 2x2x.250 tube and cut it in half
ai893.photobucket.com_albums_ac134_88_Eddie_BII_P6100001.jpg

added some flat plate and drilled a hole for the stud.
ai893.photobucket.com_albums_ac134_88_Eddie_BII_P6100002.jpg

ai893.photobucket.com_albums_ac134_88_Eddie_BII_P6100004.jpg

then installed one side. still need to drill out the upper bolt hole
ai893.photobucket.com_albums_ac134_88_Eddie_BII_P6100005.jpg

they should work til i can afford to drop some coin on some f250 mounts and new shocks.

actually i do ! taken from my other thread......

got my DD some new tires weekend before last, so i've been lacking in the $$$$ department lately. it sucks being an adult and having to use money to pay for bills and stuff before buying toys lol.
got out to the garage today though. took my tires to my buddy at the tire shop so he could mount them for me.
ai893.photobucket.com_albums_ac134_88_Eddie_BII_P7020009.jpg

while i was waiting for the tires to get mounted, so more fender "fell off"the front.

ai893.photobucket.com_albums_ac134_88_Eddie_BII_P6170004.jpg

ai893.photobucket.com_albums_ac134_88_Eddie_BII_P6180005.jpg

still deciding where i want to take it
ai893.photobucket.com_albums_ac134_88_Eddie_BII_P6180006.jpg

i think i'm gonna try and c-list the old wheels, otherwise, they're going to the scrapper. wish i had a place to store them, i'd like to hold onto them.
ai893.photobucket.com_albums_ac134_88_Eddie_BII_P7020010.jpg

now that this is done, i can put the front back together and get the brakes bled. hope to do that this week. then do the exhaust/driveshaft this weekend and pull this puppy out of the garage for once.

are you sure they're D35's? 99% of B2's came with D28's, unless they were made late in the year in 1990 when they were getting ready to start introducing the explorer

redid my lower track bar mount this weekend, still need to weld it up

ai893.photobucket.com_albums_ac134_88_Eddie_BII_P7040006.jpg

hacked up the cross member as well, still to purdy it up a bit more
ai893.photobucket.com_albums_ac134_88_Eddie_BII_P7040002.jpg

then i redid the drag link mount on the tie rod. i didnt like the first mount with the misalignments.
ai893.photobucket.com_albums_ac134_88_Eddie_BII_P7050011.jpg

everything looks pretty good
ai893.photobucket.com_albums_ac134_88_Eddie_BII_P7050013.jpg

now i just need to bleed the brakes, hook up the d-shaft and put the exhaust on.

went to work on the B2 this morning and found this:

dont worry, it was outside!!
ai893.photobucket.com_albums_ac134_88_Eddie_BII_P7100003.jpg

ai893.photobucket.com_albums_ac134_88_Eddie_BII_P7100007.jpg

ai893.photobucket.com_albums_ac134_88_Eddie_BII_P7100004.jpg

ai893.photobucket.com_albums_ac134_88_Eddie_BII_P7100009.jpg

it wouldnt crank at first. so i jumped it and it fired right up. i couldnt believe. it hadnt been cranked in over a year. so then i went to autozone and exchanged the battery since it still had a warranty. it's still loud til i get the exhaust on.

put the rear d-shaft in and welded in the shock tabs for the rear shocks. i'll most likely end up getting new shocks, i think these are too long.

ai893.photobucket.com_albums_ac134_88_Eddie_BII_P7100002_1.jpg

then i drove it around a little bit in the parking lot. cant do much cause i dont have any oil in the diffs. i also had forgotten to put power steering fluid in it and i could get it to turn at first. i topped it off and now it steers just fine. has a good bit of power too for running 31's with 373s and the 2.9.

gonna go through and tighten all the bolts i can find this week after work. i also need to finish welding the track bar mount.

making good progress. I would try too get a drop pitman arm for the steering and lower the track bar to match. You got some fairly steep angles going on that set up. I'd also drill it for a 1 ton chevy TRE while I was at it. This would be better for the continuous angle the steering is goin to see at the box. Is your transfer case have the slip yoke frt output or the slip? Mine is a slip style case. I had to clearence the yokes on my Ranger and B2 when I swapped my axles, but I was also running a low pinion 44.

i hadnt thought about using a TRE. i'll keep that in mind. i already have a drop pitman arm that i plan on installing. the rod end is also mounted on the top of the pitman arm right now, so i could flip it and just redo the upper track bar mount.

i have a BW1350 t-case, so it has the slip yoke. i'm sure i'll need to clearance them, but i have to get a driveshaft that will fit first. the factory b2 one is about 4" too short.

spent some time working on the b2 this weekend. took out the old pitman arm and installed new seals. i figured out that the snap ring didnt fully insert itself because of a spacer that i put in there. works just fine now.
also clearanced the cross member some more, also put the drop arm in.

ai893.photobucket.com_albums_ac134_88_Eddie_BII_P7130005.jpg

drove it around some, it's got a bit of bumpsteer to it. so i may need to change some stuff around. thinking i may move the tie rod under the knuckle and leave the DL on top of the pitman arm. i was also thinking i could redo the upper TB mount and lower it some.

did some work to the bumper....cut off the ends
ai893.photobucket.com_albums_ac134_88_Eddie_BII_P7130004.jpg

tacked them up higher
ai893.photobucket.com_albums_ac134_88_Eddie_BII_P7130002_1.jpg

gonna add 2 more pieces
ai893.photobucket.com_albums_ac134_88_Eddie_BII_P7130003.jpg

and i've got some issue with the pass front tire, i think i need to reinstall the ball joints
ai893.photobucket.com_albums_ac134_88_Eddie_BII_P7130004_1.jpg

worked on the pass front tire some tonight, so i had to try out a wheel on the tire gate, i think b2's look a lot better with them on

Posted the other day, must of not gone through.

Anyway, I'm digging the the front bumper and to fix that bump steer I would just lower the frame side and raise the axle side just a bit to make that pan hard more parallel to the drag link.

I know that would mean you would be modifying two brackets instead of one but from the pictures I would say it should keep everything in the clear.

the front bumper is growing on me, not happy with it just yet.....this is my plan for it:
ai893.photobucket.com_albums_ac134_88_Eddie_BII_bumper_1.jpg

for the bumpsteer, i was also thinking i could relocate the tie rod under the knuckle. but i want to redo at least the upper mount on the track bar
