Anti wrap bar looks good. Where did you get your rear driveshaft? I need to go to that style as well.

Thanks! It's a front XJ shaft. Had Asheville Powertrain do the shortening but they messed up on the measurement I gave them. (No slip movement). If I find another shaft for free I'll have them shorten again ($75), or else just go to Olivers and get something new and let this be a trail spare

Needs more coat hangers and trampoline tubing lol. Looks good dude

It's still hard to believe made it to this point. Everytime I go out to the garage it's a near double take that's it's There, its Drivable...

Truly feeling blessed

You went in with a plan and made that shit happen!

Thanks man! I ran the tape and the blade and a buddy helped lay some mig! I reckon all those hours of research beforehand paid off lol

All the way down here in Louisianar I see you pop up on my FB feed from time to time when Barnes pimps photos of your Jeep. I'm like "hey, I know that guy".... sort of.... lol. It's a fine piece of machinery for damn sure!!

Thanks!!!

Picked up two more tires for the front to last abbot longer before the next bank heist

They are 1 inch wider and Trxus so def not the best trail worthiness. But they will at least let me pound the pavement awhile longer.

So far 150 for 5 swampers that 2 were half tread on and the 2 bald on the front now. 1 was dry rotted beyond use. And 100 for these two. Not bad for 250 total for drivability while saving up for real rubber.

I also have 4 16.5 wheels, so if need be I'll get some mtrs for 300 total next spring if I need to wait longer to get new meats

500 mile round trip trek to Harlan with pretty awesome dudes. Everyone said mine was too cool to wheel, so rode along. Was a blast!

A few mechanical things to do:

-4x4 shifter
-front shaft
-front locker (if go 60 eventualy, lunchbox for now, otherwise elocker)
-steeringbox +hydro assist

But... time to paint. Need to decided what spray paint color gunna do. What if we do a raffle for a good cause and winner can pick whatever color and scheme they want? lmao

My new moto is going to be "upgrade as it breaks". lol

EDIT: picked out new paint job scheme. @McCracken can you think of a good hood phrase lmao

Winter is coming. Already got half doors (no tops) and full doors. Gotta figure out a top solution for at least this winter.

If I postpone the scrambler and stretch, then ultimate I would like to have a hard too until that time.

Already had my fill of soft tops.

If any of yous see a hardtop for sale please let me know! Thanks!

Probably not a bad idea to come to a conclusion on cage design before going all hardtop. I've seen atleast one decently built cage get chopped on just to fit a hardtop.

I got a plan in mind for this stage anyways and al easily fit under a hardtop. Your style is what I will shot for in distant future

But......A Practical design for a cage that's never been seen or done before is like unpossible.....!!

Jk.....:smokin: ;)

For now, just gunna rock the stock roll bars. add in a pillars, a > b crossmembers for overhead console. and add CMs for the harnesses, and to to rears as well. will prob look into floor grid to get rid of seat brackets. it would be nice aslso to find a cage similar already done. lookin!

Picked up some insulation for this coming winter. Looking at designing my own heater unit.

I failed on my shifter idea. So it the bullet and bought a novak shifter for the 231.

#smh

I get that some vendors will always be more expensive than another. That's life and the way business works.

For the amount of R&D Novak has done and made freely available. It is justifiable their prices. However. Was not to impressed with the Allen head bolts, the non locking heim joint nuts and the fact there is metal on metal shifting here. Would have hoped for at least some teflon washers as opposed to SS washers.

So going to update this shifter assembly with some better hardware and get it installed
