Evolution of an early bronco.

good to see it's off the trailer. get that thing done, focus!

looks good by the way.

Don't you have to have completed work once, to go back and re-do it? :D
I want to see this thing finished- it is gonna be sweet!
Oh, and a hijack. Your ram assist setup is now sitting on the racer! The box is going to be used on another project. Pic is after fabbing the mounts and before being totally finished.

Doesn't really look like a lot has been done, but it feels like it. Been buying parts as well. Give me a month and it will be running!

Anyway, here are a few pics of rear shock mounting, the dash I had cut out, and other stuff. Got a pro flow fiberglass hood for it and cut out the shock hoops very carefully. Will get pics with body panels on next week.

looking at the earlier pictures in the thread and looking at the extended radius arms, i believe that my cousin currently has your old axles.

He picked up a C6,203/205 doubler today. No more C4/Dana20

Yep. Merry Christmas to me.

Thanks charles/broncosbybart.

Got some plumbing stuff. The brake, trans and fuel lines are all going to be AN hardline. Also the $7 a ft steering hose...I'm even more glad I didn't mount the orbital behind the steering wheel now.

And the ballin ass hood. For the last decade I've wanted a pro flow hood and a tcase doubler, so I'm pretty damn happy right now.

Also with the grill in place, started to mount the radiator. Anyone see anything wrong with holding it this way? Seems better than by the core only.

The one in my TJ is held similar to that. I also have a clamp on the top of the core that holds it into the saddle. I used some rubber cement and split a bicycle inner tube in half and used that as an insulator to help keep it from vibrating and holes if the mount were to work a little loose or something.

Fenders are already cut to match the grill. The grill and fenders will all be one piece and attached to the tubing that's already there in a few places. I hope...

Got quite a bit more done, though it's hard to tell. Found out that an np205 clocked up is too wide for an EB so the entire drivetrain is now A) long and heavy as shit and B) offset to the passenger side. Anyway, got it all mounted, made xmembers then pulled it back out. Going to rebuild the c6 and install a reverse manual vb. Fuel cell mounted and cage almost done. Had the seats mounted and started on cage braces when my 6'3 brother came and sat in it and was pretty much riding with an inch of clearance, so redid all of that. Rad, stupid-long taurus fan and coolers mounted. Time to figure out driveshafts now. Rear looks like it's going to be less than 24" and front is going to have to be a 2 piece. If I can get rich quick, I'll probably end up with a stak or atlas instead.

Looks good.

What is your wheelbase?

Looking good!

PM returned.

your right about the 205. mine is hanging about 2" below the frame.... there is about 1" beside the case on the driverside and enough room for 1 3" exhaust pipe to run down the passenger side with a little clearance...

is the back tube for a spare? looks like you should have plenty of room for coolers about your cell.

Is it just me or is the hood sitting higher in the back then the fenders in the 2nd picture? Im interested in how your front clip turns out... still trying to figure it out on mine
