Have to say love ur rigs. Had a 4runner on 44's at on time was a pure show rig. Just got 83 toy 4x4 going to turn into a dd and trail rig hope it can be as nice as what u have got. It has good start 9" lift and a 4.3 conversion with auto trans, and 8,000 lb warn out front.

Nice work David!
I'm likin' that front push bar on teh new Runner, haven't seen one like that before.
hard to tel lfrom teh pics - how does it attach? Do the ower bars go through the valence to attach to the front crossmember?

Are you finding these Toyota's this clean ie the 84-85 Black Runner, and then the 88 Runner Gray is super nice... Damn I wish I still had my Silver 87 Runner...

Hey, on your dual fuel set up you say it's got more power. Better gas mileage as well? Or have you got to use it that much? (I'm assuming it runs on both all the time?)

Well guys after 10 years since the last update on the build thread I figured I'd take it over and keep it going. first I'll start by tell you how I got her. My buddy ended up buying her from David in late '19 after after I got my 81. He liked my truck so much he started looking for one and I ended seeing this truck for sale on FB so he and i went up to High Point to get it. I met David and he was a supper nice guy. He didn't really want to sell his truck but he never used it anymore and hated to see it go. My buddy had it for a while and never even took it out on the trail so he asked if I wanted to buy it and I was like hell yeah haha. A lot of changes have been made since she let David so on to the good part!
Here she is as of this afternoon!

First we did some work under the hood. Installed Holley Sniper EFI, dress up kit from LCE, DUI distributor, Optima red top with a ICT aluminum battery tray, TG power steering pump and reservoir, aluminum rad overflow tank, relocated the ARB compressor under the hood with a custom bracket, auxiliary blue sea fuse block, GM 1 wire alternator, and had a 22re valve cover laying around that got powder coated blue to match the tuck!

Here's the other exterior and interior mods that have been done. 15 gallon fuel cell with a barnes 4WD mount, Led head light, Led turn and brake lights, synthetic winch line, PIAA Led pods on roll barn, custom gauge cluster with GPS speedo, tack, volt, fuel, oil pressure, and water temp gauges, interior aux blue sea fuse panel, indash switch panel, Bearcat CB, new and quieter muffler and a new old stock dash pad. Also found the cool knife under the seat. let me know if you want it back David!

I'm gonna be doing more updating and upgrading over the off season. Gonna be rebuilding the front axle, fixing a small crack in the block that leaks a little bit of oil, swapping in a 5 speed out of an 83, and hopefully upgrading the rear suspension and ditching the lift blocks
