I bought this truck a few years ago with the intentions of converting it to 4wd. I used '75 F-250 Hi-boy axles and T-case. It was a 90% bolt in except for the T-case crossmember and the intermediate shaft needed shortened. Other than that it was about as straight forward as you could get.

I will have new pics on Monday. The fenders have been reworked due to being wrecked. I will finally drive it for the first time since the conversion.

I have a ton more work to do but it will be my daily driver.

Just thought I would share.

Just realised that I posted in the wrong forum. I hope this could get moved to the appropriate forum.

Sorry for the inconvienience.

No problem, Ron... moved it to Build Threads. Can't wait to see more!

Thanks dude!!

I will take some detailed pics when I'm driving it.

Thanks alot guys.

This is a huge departure from my old XJ but I couldn't be more thrilled.

Awesome, love to see more of this one. My father in law is restoring a 1956 International S-100 right now that his grandpa bought new. He's going a more streetrod/cruiser setup with it though.

Nice!

Man that is SAAAWeet! I had a 63 IH 4x4 with a 292 V8 about 25 years ago. It was a short bed though. If I would have just had the foresight...... Love it!

Plans include;

10,000lb winch with a very primative (..read old styled) front bumper.

Modify the rear bumper with old style, square tread plate to protect the rear of the fenders and support the sides of the bed

Change out the front Dana 44 for a 60. I would like to keep it a closed knuckle due to the period I'm trying to keep this truck based in. Anyone have an M715 front axle they want to part with??

Turbo charge the original 241 straight 6. These little engines have an extremely desirable head design called a "tilt-valve". The truck and tractor pulling guys swear by these and supercharge and turbo them with incredible results.

Possible OD from an '87 F-350

Vintage AC

Final paint. Possibly a light Olive mist with cream colored wheels and roof

Power steering of some sort. Maybe just a ram and an obital valve?

And that's about the extent of it.

I'm hoping that most of this will happen in a short period of time.

I'm very peticular about my old vehicles and this one is no different. They have to look as if they were built back in time. Most of mine are 40's, 50's and 60's period based.

Thanks again guys.

Thanks again guys.

Today I finished the driveshafts, exhaust, all the fluids, bled the brakes while my buddy worked on the electrical.

Tomorrow is tune up, install the seat and drive it.

We'll see.

needs a 12 valve. :huggy:

Nice International!
