Cool. Cant wait to see it all assembled.

Doesn't having a kid running around terrify you with those rebar sticking up out of that wall? I have 3 kids and I know I would have to put something over them or cut them off. Not criticizing your parenting just asking. It is always possible you boys isn't as wild as mine was. He almost made a profession out of injuring himself as a little thing.

What's the total weight of this set up gonna be? Trailer, Rig Camper and utility bed?
I am thinking heavy, but, then again, most likely not as heavy as two rigs that I have seen on many trailers.
Also, how tall?

I finally figured out why your shop looked so familiar. You had a thread over on GarageJournal about building it. I can quit scratching my head now.

Yup that was me. Still a lot more to do o shop but it can wait :)

Not sure on total weight but i will still be less then my trailer tires and axles can handle. I am guessing 12,000 for entire trailer setup. When this is done i will get is weighted so i have real numbers. Height it less then 10 feet at highest point. :)

took a bunch of measurements and it looks like I can drop service bed down 8.5" without any issues of strength with the bed..which will raise my bed camper 4" higher then it used to be.

I really wanted it the same height as before, so I think I will cut what I need and set it down and see if there is room to drop it another 4" if possible.

if I can not lower it more then 8.5" the overall height of camper will still be under 9'6'

well after taking a ton of measurements and searching the web for weights on these beds.. I decided I need to cut some weight..

so I am going to cut up the bed and just use the two sides and mount the boxes to the trailer

I cut off the front and also got the tailgate off, but I had to stop since I kept setting the grease in bed on fire :) just could not breath in shop anymore.

Why not just put toolboxes on the sides instead of buying an entire bed then cutting it off?

cause doing it this way is CHEAPER :)

and I have not seen many tool boxes that are 8' long

Only if your time is free. ;)

But keep on with it. And get photos of the fire next time.
