Re-doing my Bed Camper and making a toyhauler

Now that is just pretty damn COOL! Door/hatch would hinge right onto the wood at the top, right?

As for that canvas being a little too big, put some grommets along the bottom edges, when it's up just bungee one end to the other and who'll notice?
thanks

correct hinge will attach to wood at top..

good idea on canvas

well been getting very dirty last few nights..

I added a bunch of cross braces to frame, used wire wheel to clean the heavy rust of trailer ( just nasty ).

then I got the deck area that will go under camper all fitted and welded on.

I also cleaned up gooseneck, so now I can get the neck braces all welded on. then I will cut off the old bent c channel on top of neck and replace with 1/4" wall steel.

I also put fenders in place just to see how they look

Here are some pics.

Only ten days to go!

:flipoff2:

right now I have a goal of Oct 9th to be done with it all..

"Technically", there are either 10 or 11 days between today and the 9th. Depends on how you count them, but I don't see it adding up to 17.

looking good. that metal looks like the metal i get to work with...rusted and not new. i actually don't think i've ever welded on a new piece of metal.

Well today I got all neck bracing DONE :)

and then wire wheeled the old rims and got them mounted on trailer also.
I then cut out all rear braces and re welded them back in space correctly and lower so I can install a wood deck on rear area.

Of course I ran out of welding wire so I need to go get some tomorrow.

But if all goes well I hope to be painting it tomorrow(supposed to be nice)

oh and I need to either get sponsored by MAXXIS or buy some of there stock. I have now bought 11 trailer tires in 3 years :0

Shaaazam...!!!

That looks damn good...

Amazing how you get shit done...:huggy:

Just wondering your reasoning for the half and half on the deck? Does it serve a specific purpose?

yes.. camper is going to sit on metal deck,( i also got that metal very very cheap), then when you walk out of camper you have a nice front porch with the wood deck. so you will be able to walk bare foot if you wish onto wood and not burn your feet on the wood.

oh and I like being different :)
