Buggy Hauler trailers

I just saw the other day where someone was at Windrock this past weekend and had their Powerstroke and enclosed trailer with 2 newer razors inside it. One was literally brand new. Woke up from their hotel to find the whole package gone. I can’t imagine the sick feeling they must have had.

Which reminds me, did @REDLYNER ever find anything out his??

The 2 hotels in Oak Ridge are known hot spots for rig thefts.

It’s long gone. It’s on camera leaving the ‘hood and that was the last lead. Got some insurance, but still net loss of 5 figures.

Last month, I ended up getting bought out by my dad on the 7k hooper equipment trailer we had gone together on. Tried to find something used, but decided if I was going to keep it for a while I might start fresh with a new one. Was ready to order a 5 ton bare bones from Red Hot Welding, when she said they had one on the lot. It has some senseless d rings on the fenders and im not a fan of the chain basket on the tongue, but it outweighed waiting for them to manufacture one. Picking it up tomorrow. Pretty pumped. Any suggestions on what to treat the wood with? Our last trailer was pretty much a gear oil sponge.

Good talking with you today
Trailer looks nice. Not sure whats up with the d rings... Those are asking to yank a fender off!

I wish you would have bought mine :p But that looks nice!

Used motor oil. After a couple rains(lol) it will be good.

Anybody painting or coating their trailer decks? Any suggestions on a product?
I have to re-wood my trailer and have been looking for options. Mine gets slick so I'm looking at deck paints and stains with texture.

I'd throw some play box sand out when the paint is wet and put an additional coat over that to lock it in.
