Well the time came and I was offered to buy a truck I help build for a friend 10 years ago. It's a 1984 factory solid axle truck with the 22r motor.

10 years ago I pulled it apart and redid a lot, the front was a total overhaul. It got a new front hanger, leaf springs, crossover steering, new steering box, original old school 30 spline longfield axles, 529s and a lock rite.

It got a set of 4.7 tcase gears, which I may pull and go back with duals not sure yet.

The rear axle came from my old 94 yota I put one tons in. It got 529s and I had welded the carrier when I first got that truck to beat around in so that stayed. It's going to need seals maybe bearings and brake inspection.

As far as the motor it needs some love. It has a recent head gasket but has sat for way too long. I'll probably throw the stock carb out and get a Weber. I plan on dropping the tank and cleaning the fuel lines.

My shops almost done and this will be the first project to go in. I can't wait to tear into it and bring it back to some kind of glory.

That thing needs a lowering kit!

This! That thing needs to be dropped about 6". Move the axles to on top of the springs to make it easy, LOL.

Lowering it is on the list after I get it in running condition, it makes them 38.5s look small for sure. Those 5 inch springs have to go

Move it off the trailer to the shop today, it's a start lol pulled the starter and checked the armature and everything looked ok, hit it with some Emery cloth and slapped it back it and still nothing but a click... going to have to dig a little deeper.

I've got a few starters, cool, and ecus that you need.

From the looks of it, you need to ditch those drums on the rear and upgrade to discs...

I just so happen to have what you need for sale.

Well I dug through the starting circuit yesterday and found a lot that needed attention. The 34 year old wiring is brittle and I made several repairs. A little carb cleaner and she fired right up after sitting for almost a year. Just need to flush the tank out and get some fresh fuel, and see how it runs, may have to clean the carb. Got a little running video but it wont let me upload it on my space phone..

I know you have the adapter already but there is a 1 piece adapter that is supposedly better. I read that the 2 part adapters can loosen up over time and cause vacuum leak issues.

Thanks for the link, I'll consider that for sure. I will be a minute before I can finish it up waiting on some 3/8's 19 Jspt plugs to get rid of some sensors.

I hated the 2 piece adapter. The trans adapter works like a charm.
