We build stuff, we create, and we recreate. One of life's greatest chalenges has always been raising children. The procreating is easy. Teaching them to hopefully adult well is the real work. I have saw some proud parent moments posted and I wanna take a moment for one as well.....

Maybe even start a running thread about our best creations. Our kids.

Ok maybe even some of those awkward "what where they thinkin moments".

So here is hopefully the grunt work finished to my son attaining his Eagle Scout award.
His therapy garden for the Dragonfly House in Mocksville NC. It is a child advocacy group.

First poser shot!

My side kick turned 4 in February and has a better vocabulary than some adults I know. He knows proper names of tools various methods of use. He has been with me most days I can wrench on the Little Blue Truck. Today he learned about a pickle fork and we cut down my drag link :)

He built this while I was wrestling duals into position by myself a couple weeks back. He had to stay away but still needed to fab something.

Project/pics impressive

Eagle Scout

Wow!!!

Very impressive!!!

My son stood on his desk in kindergarten on the first day, pulled his pants down to show his bare butt and promptly told a classmate to kiss his ass...so there's that

Awesome fellas, it all makes me smile. Kids are our future God knows we gotta invest in them. World needs a lot more invested parents.

This little dude surprises me every day. 20 months old and already picking up on things in the shop, feeding the animals, picking up stuff (when told), and really really loves to play in the dirt with his Jeeps.

Headed down to ECU today for my son's senior film project screening, it's a documentary on a Boone wildlife artist. He graduates on Saturday. Daughter is a gifted singer but only sings in church.

Is your son's film on Ryan Kirby? If so, I'd like to watch that....my buddy from Boone is good friends with him and he stays with them every year when he comes to Charleston for the Southeast Wildlife Expo.

Yep, we went to SEWE this year to get some shots. Pretty awesome event. He filmed Ryan shooting a big gobbler last weekend. We'll have it online before long. Here is a little snippet.

Looks like your son has some skills....looking forward to the finished product!

My daughter is 11 and has more talent in her pinky than I will ever have. She is an artist, a comedian and a very talented singer. Her group sang the National Anthem for the Globetrotters in Raleigh recently and they sang it again Saturday for a 5k run in Durham. This is her playing around on the walkway before we left Saturday.

Let me know when the ceromony is! Ill drag out my uniform and come for a fellow Eagle since my troop has died. Congrats to the young man.
Will let Him Know. Most likely a small ceremony followed by a cover dish sorta thing. Do they do anything special at the board of review? Should I take off work and plan to attend?

just wait....this is the easy part!
Do whut? o_O My daughter just turned a year old, and I thought I just recently downgraded my "holy-sh!t-o-meter" from 'totally petrified' to 'moderately terrified.' The hell you mean this is the easy part?!

Yeah...and the bad thing is, we were spoiled. She's been a super easy, super happy baby. Slept 6-7 hours a night since day 1. Teeth have been a breeze...went in for her 1 yr check up, doc says her ear drum was about to burst...no fussing, no tugging, nothing. She's unbelievably social, tons of words, etc etc. I really don't think we could have gotten an easier baby. So I assume that means the next one(s) will be a hellion.

My little girl just turned a year old. Nothing in the world has ever made me more happy than her.

She already knows how to melt my heart. Definitely has me wound up tighter than a clock spring around that little pinky finger.
