We were up at Uwharrie Saturday running some of the moderate and easy trails. On the way out we saw a Cotton Place Rd, we were wondering what the trail was like. The signs said that it was not advised for dirt bikes and ATVs. Has anyone been up it and how would it rate?

That would be the Daniel trail. "Hardest" trail of the system. Hit up youtube for some vids of it. Are you locked? If not it's a safe bet your winch will get a workout.

Totally different ball of ear wax wet vs. dry, too. Heck of a lot of fun in the rain.

Not locked yet but soon.

You should be able to do all the trails there with that truck. But it all depends on the driver and the spotting. Just be aware if you go Up Daniel its fun but you will probably get some sort of body damage. Just make sure you have a good spotter and you will be fine.

Thinking that I will stay off the trails that start with "D" until I get my rock sliders, 33's and lockers.
Thanks everyone for the info.
See yall on the trails.

Not locked on 31 procomp M/Ts and had no body damage that whole weekend. Drove it up every trail I pointed it towards (took some of the left side at the top of Daniel due to ground clearance). Pick your line and have a decent spotter if your unsure. Too easy.

Yea she's changed but I rode with a unlocked tj on 30" street tires at the end of last year and he went everywhere I went with that old long armed xj on 36s

That weekend back in 2012?

Yeah..she's changed a bit

I agree. That ledge has never really been the same each time I have gone up to it. The last time I was on it, a year or two, the "easy line" had not even developed yet.

The left left side of the ledge has always been tricky but I would normally try to shoot right up the middle of it. I would bottom out my rockers on that ledge. All it takes is one guy on 40s in the rain to spin his tires after jockeying the throttle and the ledge just got four inches taller.

Have fun at URE though and pray your rig doesn't burn to the ground! (I am low key convinced that place is cursed)

A stock Samurai on P205 street tires can make it up Daniel.

A stock prius on bamboo tires can make it up Daniel.

Now you're just being silly..they don't make bamboo tires for the prius...you have to have an ELECTRIC car to qualify for those

That was one of the last times I was there. I deployed again then left and moved down here to La. I guess my whole point was to say there isn't anything I ever remember at UNF that needed much more the 31's to get around. Obviously bigger tires, lockers, etc opens up a lot more terrain to play on.
