Many of you had seen Debra,s gecko green 4dr(how could you not see it). That Jeep is gone and here is what happened. Over the last 8 months we had some very odd quirks with it, intermidantly the sound on the radio would randomly cut off when the tail lights lit up(brakes, turn signals). It was annoying but wasn't a huge deal, we took it back to Steve White a couple times, they came up blank twice and the third time they had an engineer from Ohio come look at it, he came up with nothing as well. We all knew there was a short somewhere but no one could find it, I still feel like it was something stupid simple and was just not found.
On the third round the engineer said Chrysler wanted the Jeep back and would buy the Gecko back. She really hated the Idea of loosing that color. I was truly happy with how Chrysler treated us through the buyback, they kept us in the loop and besides being delayed for Christmas were timely and answerd all our questions.
Not going into boring detail, but we had a choice, get a new 14 sport with the exact same specs for what we owed currently, or upgrade for very little extra. We opted to upgrade, ended up paying very little more for the Rubicon with the credits from the buyback, they coverd dock fees, tags, and admin fees. Don't want to go into detailed numbers ,but we are only paying 5 bucks more a month for a Jeep stickerd at about 7,000 more than the sport she had. Im sure they made their money, but we are happy how it worked out, there is no way we could have got it for the price we did if we had just came into buy it.

This one is going to get used, some trail duty potts/ure daytrips, camping trips etc.
Tire size will stay stock
1 inch in front to level it is done, stabilizer flip with a fox is done, Sliders from Gecko are on, Front and rear diff skids are here, sway bar disconnect skid on the way, oil pan skid on the way, front control arm skids are on. Engo 9,000 winch with synthetic is here, winch plate for stock bumper mounting is on the way. And that will be done sir done, leave it at that, should be plenty for light/moderate trail duty.

Oh, if youre wondering. They were taking the Jeep back to Ohio at a dealer right outside of the plant. The engineers will tear it down to find what is wrong, if fesible they will resale it with a buyback disclosure. So its likely to end up back on the road again.

Lucky Debra, usually takes a lawsuit, to get a buyback! I too, like the color! What am I looking at in the second pic, & the knob & nut looking thing, over the glove box?
Nice tires, too!

It's a ball mount for gps's and other fancy tech things. Flint has 64" flat screen mount to his (not really just an iPad but it is huge).

Did yall get the dual top option with this one? That way next beach trip it can go topless.

No dual top group, power windows ,power locks, power inverter, sirius radio. Not too many thrills. The grab bar was made by Carolina Metal Masters in Denver Nc, Maybe flint will post a picture of his. They do them for tj,s too, you can personalize the grab bars with about anything.

Good riddance to that old ugly puke/baby shit green JK lol but seriously I like the new one. Besides the fact that I wanted a 4-door JK RUBI first.

Glad it worked out for the good! Nice Ride tooo!!!

Most of the time after we figure out whats wrong or narrow down what happened, they are donated to trade schools and auto tech programs to be used as teaching aids.
