are your toes that color because of decreased circulation or are they blood-stained?

blood-stained..... it will not come off. the blood was instantly gooey, not runny like normal, the doc said it was due to fat and muscle. I could scoop the blood up and almost make a blood ball (like a snow ball) :shaking: which I did while waiting for Medic.

you can see that the PW came across the foot and then stopped on top where the hole is.

I can walk today, very slowly but its getting much better

I need to wait for my bro to come home so he can rewrap it I just hope he doesnt puke this time like at the Hospital..

damn I got an ugly foot

Looks like when Han Solo cut opened that tauntaun on Hoth to put Luke in it to keep warm.

uh.. your a nerd.:shaking:
it's pretty nasty
I like the giant fat foot.....

Looks like it needs to be soaked in rubbing alcohol.

That wound looks similar to a 7.62x39 round that one vet I served with took during a flight. His scar is on his left leg. Freak occurance we presumed because there was no firefight going on at the time.....just transit in a H-53 with someone on the ground taking shots at things that fly. Looks like you will live. WEAR YOUR BOOTS NEXT TIME!

Cool, I work in a surgical office so I see that stuff quite often, but I'v never seen a pressure washer cut. I hope you heal up soon.

Well 5 years ago today I messed my foot up pretty bad...

Just an update of what a little bit of water can do under high pressure to your foot.

I walk with a slight limp that is unnoticeable to most people but my left shoe wears weird.
My nerves are crossed and when I touch 1 toe, I feel it in another and it feels weird and very sensitive below the scar.
I can only slightly move my toes... I'd say 2%

Anyways, be careful and wear boots when pressure washing

I was helping a friend load his big azz PW into the back of his truck after he Pwshd his 4 wheeler that broke in the mud. It was turned off for 5 mins or more. He and another "friend" had one end and I the other w the wand set in the holder on the PWr. One of them hit the trigger when we lifted it and it shot me point blank in the upper thigh just missing my " meat and 2 veg " I cussed and yelled and threw the thing onto the tailgate quite pissed that DUMBASS didn't release the pressure before we hoisted it. They started to laugh while I cussed, but stopped when I dropped my pants to inspect the damage. He had a narrow nozzle on it and it tore a hole in my jeans and left a purple, swollen, silverdollar sized lump w a bleeding puncture in my leg and he had some cleaner in the mix also. They started laughing again when they thought I was OK and were lucky I did'nt get ahold of either of them or they would have been in pain and bleeding also ( they ran like scared rabbits from me ). That looks horrible and I hope you recover well and soon.

I had a buddy that was cleaning out a paint sprayer, shot his finger and instead of water it was thinner. Not as much pressure, but it went into a previous cut and did real damage to a finger. The finger turned black and swelled up huge.
Half of it had to go!!
Sorry to hear that about your foot.
You aren't talking about Gary Hagler are you??

Ouch! Man, that looks rough. I came across my shoe with my 2500psi PW before with the 15deg nozzle. They were old running shoes with the mesh top. Blew a hole in it, but I was doing it slowly so I stopped as soon as it hit the side of my big toe. Still blew a hole through the mesh and tore the skin off, looked like a burst blister. I can't imagine shooting myself THROUGH the foot. Yikes.

Always were PPE that is suitable for the task at hand. I yelled at my wife once because she was mowing the lawn with flip flops on. She almost cried and tried to argue with me. I told her not to even try arguing about it, shut up and put on some shoes!

Glad you still have your foot and are recovering. Hope you are 110% soon!

When I was a kid my dad was pressure washing a vans roof. I was holding the hose so it didn't rub on the van and a hole popped open in the hose. Just a tiny pin hole. Put a hole in my thumb. Hurt too. Hope the foot heals up. And I hope you employee gives you hell for not wearing shoes.

Yea, didnt the doc say that they most likely would have to amputate your foot?
