I am trying to put coils under the rear of my xj. I've got a d44a from a zj and I would like to do a long arm kit in the rear.

First off I want to brace the Unibody from the rear to the front with 3/16 plate bolted on either side and tube welded between the "frame".

I am planning on fabricating perch's for the upper part of the spring in the rears like in claytons offroad. All the rear control arm brackets on the jeepside will be custom fabbed with johnnie joints on brackets and hyme joints at the axleside of the control arms.

The front will most likely end up as a 3-link with the 3rd link coming off the lower arm. I will fabricate a trans crossmember to run the links off of.

Universal is making extended driveshafts for me and I have a drop pitman arm. Is there anything else I need to think of????

If your going through the trouble of fabbing up a custom suspension, why run a little 44a? 14 bolt or 9 inch, relocate the tank to the cargo area, get er done.

this is what I have sitting around haha. my spare d30 is a 373 gear and the 44a matches. Im gonna get to the 14bolt a little later down the road. this is just to get things going. tired of leaf springs and I want something different. thats my jeep in the pic.
