Did sous vide roast beef. Made cheesy some kind of Italian noodles with leeks and wilted greens for a side...

Dad brought some of his garden cabbage on vacation. Got the recipe from our neighbor a few years back and knew my fam would love it. She called it Lechke. Cabbage, onions, butter, salt, pepper and some homemade noodles. I coulda ate the whole pan by myself.

    Friday fish day....

Fish market had fresh not frozen swordfish, so, that's what for dinner. Sous vide 130 for 45, bagged with olive oil, lemon juice, thyme, fresh ground black pepper. Will sear on the grill when done.

Met the new neighbor the other day and he asked if I liked mushrooms. Wasn’t sure how to answer at first since he was wearing this shirt.

Turns out they were chanterelle mushrooms that he had foraged. Momma wanted some eggs and onions tonight, so I cooked the mushrooms to throw in mine. Solid.

Black-eyes peas with tomatoes and peppers and fried egg and cheese sandwiches, planned by the 5-yo.

    20200715_182201.jpg

He chopped the peppers and put everything in the pot and his brother helped fry the eggs.

I dont know what I will eat tonight, but the possums will be happy.

Made our monthly trip to the butcher shop. Trimmed fat before going into vacuum bags. Dumped way back in the woods for the coons and possums.
