Just killed it for fish tacos tonight. Rubbed down cod with homemade messican cabbage and onion slaw with the good sauce you find in the restaurants.

Trying to give myself a food coma and go to bed to overcome the time change.
 
Dinner and drinks with good close friends at Cantina73 in Mt. Pleasant. Damn the hype I’m gonna live my life!

P.S. no pictures cause I scarfed it!!
 
Cooked a chunk of prime rib Wednesday. Sliced off a couple of thick steaks that night, and thin sliced the rest for sandwiches. Finished it off tonight with a prime rib and sauerkraut sandwich. Delicious!

Today was Day 8 of cooking at home. NEVER gone more than a day or so without eating out. We are learning.

Tonight, did a sous vide pork loin. Sprinkled it with onion powder, garlic powder, and fresh ground black pepper before the cook. When it came out, coated it with bbq sauce and hit it with the weed burner torch (cooking can be fun!).

Leftover shredded pork from tacos last night got turned into BBQ for sandwiches and made tater wedges for the first time.

Wish I Hadn't! I just had that hankerin, to go to Hardee's, in Stanley this evening, for a good burger combo with Coke. Couldn't find any coupons, so I paid full price, & got the Big Hardee / fries / coke. $8.00. After waiting 10 minutes, I got it, & pulled around to park in the shade. The Only thing decent, was the 2 patties, thousand island dressing, & the coke! Lettuce seemed to be a week old, & of course, most of it heart lettuce. Half cooked fries from Last week, weren't fit to eat! I hope the Birds do.
While sitting there, a new-ish Black Wrangler pulled in, & the 30ish driver went to the door. He didn't get in, & as he came back he asked me if they were Open? What? I told him "Drive-thru" only! He asked if that was after 5 pm? I'm wondering What Planet is this guy from? I said No, All Restaurants are restricted to take out only! He went to the drive thur. And, he had a NC tag! Still wondering WTH?
Next was a little Humor [I guess] on the way home. Stanley PD was running Radar in their 35 mph zone, & just as I cruised by at 35/36 mph, in the CJ, another car came up behind me. Then PD hit the Blue lights. I kept driving, now in the 45 zone & slowly picking up speed. He Had to after the car behind me. Now were in the 55, where I'm doing 50ish. Watching the car still following me & the Blue lights Lighting that car up. Gee Moron, you Don't see those Blue lights, & the PD car you passed? 1/2 - 3/4 mile down the road the driver pulled into a closed business. I never heard a siren, & bet the cop was enjoying how Far it was taking for that driver to notice! :p
 
Half cooked fries from Last week, weren't fit to eat!

Secret to that is tell them for medical reasons you can't have sodium. They'll cook up fresh fries and not add salt.

Then ask for salt.
