Yea I need a tubing bender, however im not sure on what to get. My friend has one of these

http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/...oductDisplay?storeId=6970&productId=628&R=628

and he says I can use it whenever i want but he said that it kinked the tube he tried to bend, but he was trying to bend exhaust tube. Anyone have any experience with that particular model, did it just kink it because he was trying to bend such skinny tube? Cause like i said i can use it whenever i want for free so if it'll work then sweet.

Thanks

Thats a pipe bender. aint worth a $2 damn in my book for tube.
Check this out. www.pro-tools.com
I have a model 105 and it works great. It will be better as soon as I get a hydraulic setup for it.

And this is a good starting point too:

* Here are few words of warning *

IT’S NOT CHEAP. You’ll have to spend over 1k just for the bender and a couple dies, and that doesn’t include the welder, notcher, chop saw, grinders and all the countless other little nickel and dime stuff that it’ll take.

Pipe is measured inner diameter, tube is measured outer. You can't bend tube in a pipe bender.

wow all that stuff is really expensive, lol. What about this bender it looks like the model 3 bender on JD2?

And what is the diff between a pipe and tube bender?

JUNK!!!!

thats a bender for flat steel and solid bar.

If you spend any $$$, do it right and get a JD2 or Pro Tools bender. Sure its pricey, but ya gotta pay to play.

FWIW, I've got a JD2 and love it. Works great and is somewhat affodable. The bender really isn't expensive, its the dies that kill ya.
