One man can kicking contest in the yard. Cases are just sitting on the skid so hopefully mounting to trans will be easy. I'll get my neighbor tomorrow and have him help stabilize it to mound the crossmember .

Time to go eat oysters.

Rear axle got bolted up. Also upgraded the master cylinder to the fzj80 one off the cruiser and luckily I kept the trick metric adapter and only had minor corrections on lines. It's 75% bled thanks to using an old electric inline fuel pump .

Tackled the coolant and heater lines and have figured it out with stock part numbers for the 3.4 swap into a third gen. Using an aftermarket stock radiator.

IMG_20180429_133440.jpg

Upper and lower radiator hoses are for a 97 T100 (since I had to start somewhere) with a little trimming off a couple of the ends .

I'm going to the parts store to replace all the heater hoses (factory also) and I will post those too. Finding part numbers was impossible so hopefully this helps someone .

Nobody that I know if offers weld in bungs for FJ80 TRE and after a quick look, my drag link was 1 3/4" too long since it was originally for and FJ60.

I have Marlin steering stuff so I called to price check on a new one. Knowing that I could get a replacement if I had to, I got ready to do something and pulled the tre. To my suprise they thread several inches more than needed to bottom out the tre.

Messed up one boot so I'll replace it, but I cut it down and didn't have any issues threading them back. Cut back 1 1/4 on each end .

Magnaflow 2 1/2" cat enroute, free muffler with appointment to get exhaust next week.

I'm lacking bump stops up front and I think after I install some factory ones tacked on to the ubolts plate I can let the tie rod clearance the oil pan...maybe. This swap requires the T100 pan. My cut and turned my axle and I think the pinion height will offset the hassle of hammering this one in a bit.

Tightened up the pressure line on the PS box and stopped that leak

Transfers case rear output seal leaking. Otherwise happy to report multiple trips to the mailbox in different gears. Time for exhaust work .

My Marlin Crawler order finally arrived: Triple drilled flanges for the landcruiser axles, a mechanical to electrical speed sensor and the good seal I'll change when I install the parking brake on the case.

The struggle is real.

Got the kids in bed, changed clothes, headed outside about 9 last night (after 11 hr work day) with a fresh charge on the trusty DeWalt flashlight and got the front pinion flange swapped out.

Dixie Run?

The stuggle continues.

It's amazing how little time I get to myself these days. Tonight I got the t case bracket mounted. Cutting and beating the crap out of the trans tunnel to clearance for the rotor I found theraputic.

Also got the new flange on the rear axle and measured for a new rear driveshaft. Hopefully I'll be able to go missing from work long enough to pull the double cardan off the parts truck and drop them off at the driveline shop in Asheville tomorrow.

Perfect timing as it started raining. While I enjoy wrenching in the dark on the ground... I draw the line at doing it in the rain.

Time to get a hood scoop ordered and practice on this spare hood since the hood won't shut, it's resting on the intake.
