Don't know if I missed but what's your belly height? I saw wb ended up at 102. I'm gonna do a motobilt 4 link on my yj but shooting for 110wb and 40s

good news is I did a compression check on engine and it is fine.. so now I need to look at tranny
 
The first show we filmed will air tonight at 7pm on NBC SN. Called powernation (something) there will be another show on regular extreme off road show also. I am not sure how much off roading this one will be. But it will show a bunch of the cool distillery

well I watched it and I am happy to say my jeep was in it a lot more then I thought it would have been.. they did a good job of capturing the multi day event
 
After spending way to much time on the xj time to fix the yj. Clutch went out so started to rip apart the yj yesterday. Hope to get more done today

Well got it all out.

And found the damn slave cylinder is bad. I don't think I actually had to take it all out :( clutch looks great.

Oh well. Maybe I will put in an auto since it is all out.

looked at my stash last night and found 2 - AW4 tranny's, flex plate, dust shield, computer, shifter, neutral safety switch, tranny cooler, torque converter.

So looks like I am gonna dive into an auto swap..

wonder how fast I can get this done as I need to get YJ off the lift to get XJ back on it

this should be fun :)
 
Making progress. Next is to get transfer case in so I can set height for crossmember.

Then I will start on all the wiring.

The transfer case in and tranny mount done.

Also did a filter change on tranny.

Next is to start wiring it up.

What is your plan for the exhaust and fuel lines now that you have a pass drop tcase?

Happy to say we.got the wiring connected and got the Jeep started again. Even got the wheels spinning :)

Need to.mount shifter and clean up all wiring

it was about 1" longer.. so all my driveshafts worked with no issues.. I did get super lucky and since I have a two piece shaft the driveshaft from transfer case to block I made adjustable when I first did this and I am super happy I did other wise I would have had to make a new shaft for that part.

pain in the butt and until I drive down the road and make sure it fully shifts correctly under load I am not 100% sure wiring is 100% perfect :)

used stuff we found at stu-offroad.com

I have an XJ motor in my YJ with YJ wiring harness and used a ZJ aw4 with a CJ dana 300 :)
