Managed an hour of shop work tonight, rafters done ready to hang Saturday.

Meh, add some ventilation across the top (maybe some screen sandwiched between 1/4" hardware cloth) to let the heat out and a tight sealing door to keep the varmints out... otherwise it'll collect leafs, birds/shat, possums and every wasp/dirtdobber within 50 miles

Tadd came and punched me some holes today!!

anytime man. figured I would check your thread and see how progress was going. I assume the posts being offset was on purpose, or fear of me getting the auger too close to the shop? 2 b's...…..Tabb...….don't worry im used to it.....your not the only one ive known for years that still gets it wrong lol

If you we're closer to Raleigh, I'd send you by our yard and spare you that Lowe's PT stuff

Looks great man. I'm meeting with a GC next week about my shop build. Been watching your thread as preparation.

40 more oz's, probably going to do 48 more this weekend and it should almost fill the 1/4" void, then a final flood coat, next it will be sand sand sand sand then buff till she's glassy and then top it with odes oil.

@skyhighZJ came to the house and picked up this beauty! Glad to be finished with it. I hope his family enjoys it for years to come.

That’s beautiful work right there!

Well I've got another few projects on the books but working in Raleigh, its tough getting anything done other than come home mow every other weekend.
Hopefully I'll get something done to update this thread with some actual progress but stay tuned.
I'll be working on a TV console and some end tables.

Well I finally ponied up and got a what I hope to be good planer. It's a delta 3 blade. I did a small test run on a piece of cherry and the finish it close to as smooth as 220 grit or better. Hopefully it will give me many years of service.
