I'm looking forward to working on this one. It's always nice to start with a clean slate.

Don't be mad if you get it back with no wheels and tires. I think those would look good on my buggy. :D

gonna get my part done then bring it to ya!!

I will be in touch, hopefully sometime around or after thanksgiving

It will come to you on rollers!!! :flipoff2:

threw down some color yesterday, 4 coats of Massey Fergueson Gray tractor implement paint. It sprays so good out of the cheapy harbor freight HVLP guns

gonna spray inside the tub and wheel wells with bedliner stuff, the cheapy ceiling texture guns work great for this also

exhaust

a few more exhaust pics, I wanted to get the exhaust up as high as possible to keep it away from driveshafts, rocks, speedbumps, you know that kinda thing, so I ended up exiting the exhaust thru the rear bumper, turned out pretty good

I do not see any where the exhaust an flex.. am I missing it? cause as soon as that engine torques and moves you are gonna break the exhaust if no flex somewhere..

Motor is not solid mounted, and tranny/transfer case wont be either, so if I add flexible mounting along the frame rails in three different spots would that be enough?

being hard mounted in the rear thru the bumper be a problem then?

You only need one flex pipe, and it should be as close to the engine outlet as possible.

yea, you can leave it all hard mounted, just make sure you put one of those flex pipes between the collector and first exhaust hanger/mount

this will be the best solution

Sweet build, looks like a killer start.

project is slowing down with the holidays, and new to me house HVAC issues:shaking:

Hood vents, the hood holes were cut already when I got the project, so I used them

Project Changes

So I sold the TBI 350, and got a deal on a low mileage 2005 5.3, so plans are changing somewhat, I want to keep the 700R4/dana 300 combo, but already have a DBW ecm flashed and wiring harness ready. hard to run 700 with this setup, I thought about running a full manual valve body, which deletes the TV cable. Also thought about swapping the 700 for a 4l60e, or a 4l80e, but then I would have to buy a adapter to run a passenger side drop TC because of the chevy 60 kingpin psd

any thoughts on this would be great

anyway heres some new stuff

Traction bar finished
