Seeing this thread, reminded me of an old question.
Why In the Hell does Ford put only 7 "fake lugnuts" on these hubcaps?
Does the 1 extra fakie save the company that much money?
Surely I am not the only 1 to notice this?
And I did stop on the side of the road to help an elderly gentleman change a tire on his 250 once... he was trying to get the lug wrench on the damn things:rolleyes:
no auto manufacturer in their right mind would do something like that. that's got to be a photochop, no engineer can be that stupid.
wait, you said Ford? nevermind
ford actualy had a 7 lug wheels when 17s or 18s just came out so people couldnt change to a more common size wheel

if i remember correctly, it was on the f250 that used the f150 body style after 1997. Kind of a bastard truck in it's own right, light duty 3/4 ton

Yeah, I remember my stepdad had one.. it was a stripped down F250, straight 6, 2wd, 7-luggers. But this was back in... '90-'91-ish?

oh, funny thing is, it had 8-lug hubcaps..

Ok so they once used a 7 lug wheel, and it was such a flop they decided to make all there hubcaps 7 lug, whathafa...

Man I aint a Ford basher, actually a ford CAR nut...

But damn thats dumb
