I need a TH400

Right now I have a TCI TH400 in my buggy. It started out that it would barely go in reverse when cold. I noticed it I overfilled it that seemed to help. Now even drive when cold is a problem. It may be due to overheating as I have had some problems with cooling in the past.

Should I have a local shop rebuild it? Should I send it to TCI to be rebuilt? Should a buy one from a big company? If so who?

PTC and be done with it.
They offer purpose built converters and transmissions for bouncers, racers and trail rigs (among other applications).
I'd have them build a converter to match their appropriately rebuilt transmission.
