Let's say someone was doing research on an EGR and DEF delete on a 2015 Cummins 6.7.
That person also uses the truck primarily for towing between 5k and 10k pounds and has no desire to be a coal rolling Bruh kind of guy.
The owner will install the actual EGR delete kit and turbo back exhaust, but has questions about the tuners out there nowadays.
What said person is looking for is:
Removing the EGR to prolong engine life
A mild tune (60 HP or so)
No NEED for a clutch upgrade
Multiple tune availability (i.e theft mode)
    Easily updateable

The truck in question will get a quiet exhaust (with a diet of course) and minor engine mods to compliment the EGR delete.

With that being said, what are the better options out there?

    -Sinister for the egr delete.
-Delete the throttle valve (additional $75 ish)
-FloPro for the pipe (add your muffler choice)
-Race Me MM3 for the tune. Multiple touchscreen power shift on the fly options with a nice compact digital gauge set. Email available tunes.
RaceMe ULTRA Tuner for Dodge RAM 6.7L Cummins | RaceME GmbH

I run around town on the 30hp (base tune) no smoke. towing I step up to 60hp no smoke. I tired the 100hp tune once and burying my foot in it it did smoke a bit but I would not consider the coal to have been rolled. Although the tires were definitely smoking.
EGT probe is plug and play and auto populates on the screen once plugged into the box under the dash.
Other thing I like is the trans options and also being able to tell the computer where I want the speedo to read at if I change tire size.

Following this as well. With the recent epa changes it seems a lot of the parts needed are hard to get.
I thought about buying the stuff and sitting on it for a year or so until I hit 100k.

I got some hypothetical real world numbers that a hypothetical person gave me after a delete on a 6.7 Cummins.
Dude recently towed around 750-800 miles and reported 2.7 more MPG loaded. Empty he reported darn near 4 more MPG on his 28 mile, 55 mph commute.
Supposedly the 5" MBRP is reasonably quiet too. He went on to say the 30 HP/75 TQ tune had no impact on his clutch either.

    Good stuff to know...

I've got a 5" FloPro with their muffler on my Duramax and it's not loud in the cab at all. No drone either, which is mostly what I was worried about.

What you said all sounds like a good plan to me....

Can this hypothetical person share what the new fuel mileage is, or did he just tell you how much more he was getting? I have a close friend with a deleted Cummins that averages around 17, but it's on 37s and he rarely drives the speed limit.....

I, err, this dude has a 2015, 4x4, 6 speed with 35s. 3.42 gears in the diffs. Drives a bit like a grandpa.
Empty, commuting at 55 he's getting hand calculated 22.8 mpg. Towing 4500# between 70-75 mileage was around 13.2.
Same guy will be towing a blue R____er on a 3500# trailer soon and will see what the extra 4000# does to the economy.

Did this guy you heard about have any trouble sourcing his parts? What kind of device did he go with? If you happen to have heard this...?

The dude in question did not source the parts himself. He went through a trusted vendor friend to do so.
He is however, very handy with a wrench and did the install himself.

sounds like you err, I mean, that guy, and I are at about the same numbers, on 35’s but mines is an auto and a dually. Towing 21XXXX lbs from Louisiana here last month put me right at 10.4Mpg running 70-75mph on the 30hp “base” tune. Mine is a 4” no muffler Flo-Pro pipe. Hope the results continue to produce for that guy. What programmer did that guy use?

Are those hand calculated or from the dash. No one on any of the forums I follow had ever shown hand calculated numbers with that much improvement on a 2012 or newer cummins. The tires and gears also makes me think it is not real. 5in exhaust is a waste on this motor as well. If you see any MpG improvement real world. Just added stress on the Trans and if you have the Aisin there are no tunes for it at all. Unless you are out of warranty and having emission equipment issues there is no good reason to delete a 6.7.

He filled me in on some deets...
Hand calculated after nearly 1000 miles of mixed driving.
5" was all that was available with a muffler. He wanted 4, but couldn't get it at that time.
PCM programmed for actual tire size, so that aspect is accurate.
    Warranty up in 5 months/ 24k miles.
After a recent turbo failure due to excessive soot build up, dude decided to stop clogging up.the inside too. The EGR cooler and valve were HEAVILY packed.
Truck gets used primarily for towing. It's had a trailer hooked to it for 34,xxx of it's 76,xxx miles (on the cluster). It's not one to idle all day and haul nothing more than groceries.

Those a pretty good numbers. When I get home I'm hoping the canucks can help with some tuning. Of course a lighter foot would help too

MM3 tuner, best platform handsdown. DRD tuning has a cult like following....
With our g56 cant do any raceme tunes, unless you upgrade clutch, even then still cant. Southbend is a route, but roll of the dice can have issues? - Valair upgrade is more $ but best so told.

My preference - tune to delete and pull back up to stock power before derated because of the g56.

Biggest do/dont is to NOT unplug anything until AFTER a tune is installed.

My, I mean, his tunes automatically turn on the EB by default. So you have to turn it off as opposed to having to remember to turn on. This will keep the turbo and/or actuator happy for a long time. Also in the tune is a cold weather high idle feature for when you decide last minute to drive the truck.
All in all, dude is very happy with the decision to make his Cummins great again.

the high idle is the business. With the EB on it sounds like a jet plane too. All the weird looks from people when you’re stopped at a light or whatever.
