On February 23rd our Patriot Therapy program will begin our Georgia Traverse Adventure. We will begin with a 2 hour zip-line tour at Zipline Canopy Tours of Blue Ridge, GA to help our friend Jordan Slaymaker celebrate his ETS from the US Army and give him a heroes send off as he begins his thru hike of the Appalachian Trail on February 25th in a crucial step for his personal transition to civilian life. Over the next 6 days the trip will hit 2 off-road parks, travel most of the Georgia Traverse, and drive through Helen, GA.
We are inviting 6 vehicles worth of heroes to join us on this adventure, build those bonds of camaraderie, and enjoy the life you missed while downrange. And if that wasn’t enough, 1 x 2-person team (1 must be currently serving or a veteran) will receive top-notch 4WD-101 training free of charge provided by Overland Experts (OEX) on February 10th in Uwharrie, NC. But wait, there’s more. That same 2-person team will be handed the keys to drive an OEX vehicle for the duration of the trip.
The link to submit names for a chance to win the 4WD-101 training and OEX vehicle for this adventure will be posted soon. The 2-person team will be chosen February 1st at 7 pm on FB live.
There are opportunities also for those without off-road vehicles or experience to join us. Come up on the radar so we can see what we can do if you aren’t the lucky winner of training and a vehicle to use.
