Hey all,

Another project has started.

We will be building a CJ using a Motobilt 4 link kit for a YJ. We will have to modify the kit to work with a CJ but we believe it will all be possible.
CJ with a v8, automatic, dana 300, linked, coilovers on 35's
will be a 3 link in front and 4 link in the rear.

Looking forward to watching this get completed. Please list what modifications need to be done to make it work.
First you can't run a 4 link up front with out a two piece driveshaft and the bell housing is so close to the upper mounts it is scary. So by removing upper mount it give us what we believe to be all the clearance we need.

We will also need to move front axle forward for steering clearance

I commented on Instagram, but I’m super interested in watching this one too.

I’m surprised y’all had to modify it that much for all the clearances. What trans is it?

In for what sounds like a cool build.....

5.3 with a TH350 and a dana 300

Going to use the stock CJ axles?

Made good progress. Everything is cut and modified.

Everything is welded in and next we start to mock up the Engine and tranny

So it looks like it's staying skinny. What are the plans to fit coilovers in there? I would love to link my CYJ just to have a better ride, but fitting stuff in there with a stock width and body seems challenging.

We plan to put coilovers outside of frame.

More pics to come. Wed night we plan to weld links etc.
