Not a bad looking truck but I have too many trucks right now as it is. I actually saw it on CL last night I think. I'm not a fan of the old 5-tons, I like trucks that have more HP.

Looks to be a 1954 or 1955 1st series. They had these grilles and one piece windshields. 47-53 had bars for grilles and two piece windshields

Given enough driveshaft joints, and enough plunge travel, that will totally work fine. They're like truck arms where the pinion doesn't point in the proper plane; nothing bad can happen. Are they selling it because it's impossible to make it work properly?
And those brackets aren't going to bend if you mean-mug them, I promise. Those leaf springs with the 12" lift blocks shouldn't wrap much either.
Wasn't someone on here looking for a new fabricator?
