Need to get the brake controller (Drawtite "Actuator II"... digital type that can be mounted in any position) installed ASAP.

However, I can't decide on where to mount it! No console (like my brothers 2500HD) to mount it on/beside...
- Underdash is too far away... requires me to reach down, so I'd like it at arms length in normal driving position
- Valance under dash is too "vertical"... want to be able to read the digital output at a glance

So thinking about nestling it in the little cubbyhole under the radio in the dash?
- Easy reach
- Since it'll stick out an inch or so, can see the readout
- Mounting it to the pass. side of the cubby will give access to the "intensity" adjustment on the drivers side of the controller

Anyone put their controller in this position (cubbyhole)?

I have mine (prodigy) mounted under the dash. I can reach it fairly easy. I am only 5ft 6in so I do have to lean up a little but how often will you be riding down the highway with you hand on the controller? I use mine quite a bit, in traffic when I have people riding the trailer. No brake light so it just slows down LOL.
