Appetizer recipes

One of my fav summertime dips...

Dill Weed Dip
1 cup of real mayo
1 cup of sour cream
1 Tablespoon of dill weed (I use about double that)
1 Tablespoon of "Beau Monde" seasoning*

Very lightly stir ingredients together (appears too much stirring makes it too "liquidy" :()
Chill for an hour, 2, or overnight in the fridge and a few more light stirs before serving...

Great for chips, raw veggies, or salad dressing


* DIY "Beau Monde"
1⁄4 teaspoon sea salt
1⁄8 teaspoon onion powder
1⁄8 teaspoon garlic powder
1⁄8 teaspoon celery seed
1⁄2 teaspoon seasoning salt
 
Bourbon Pecans

1# pecan halves
2 cups sugar
2/3 cup bourbon
2/3 cup water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

Boil everything but the pecans until temperature reaches 235-240° ('soft ball' stage). Remove from heat, stir in pecans, pour onto wax or parchment paper & cool.
